Well at least he didn't say "These cars are made for hooning."

Last year for a few months i actually worked with Marco the passenger of the red skyline. I was watching and thought i know this guy. Not sure if he still owns it but he had a black r32 gtr at the time. He's exactly the same as he was then, just needs to hold his tongue sometimes.

That show that followed seems to be a redubbed version of Destroyed in Seconds from Discovery Channel haha.

That was the most interesting today, those shock waves were awesome to watch!

i didnt think they were bad with the skyline, they weren't being rude or anything like that and he knew what was wrong with it and didnt try and be an ass about it. and i dont blame him for getting a bit angry over the dent in that chicks car, it was so obvious they didnt do it, but he probably should of calmed down a bit. it looks like a dent done by a 4 wheel drive's tow bar.

that chick was aiiiite id tap her. and those skyline guys were good they wernt ass's dont hate just coz there wog

thats a pretty out there racist accusation .... dont think anyone has said anything about there race.

I loved it how the chick got let off for not displaying p plates and having a passenger without a seatbelt, yet the skyline owner got a defect and a fine.

But hey, that's "officer's discretion" hey?

Loved the Miss copgy remark too lol. Pretty rude, but funny nonetheless.

Just watched it, & this is what I thought as well. Plus I think its only the passenger of the R33 that got a bit jumpy during the 2nd encounter I don't recall the driver doing anything stupid or making any smart ass comments at all during the 2 encounters with the cop.

The driver took it pretty well, must be used to all the cop attention & yellows. & I don't see any bad stereotypes this on Skyline drivers being promoted here, other than that they are easy targets for yellows for other cops to know.

How often to you guys get pulled over?

I have had my r32 GTR for ten years now and I may only take it out twice a months but depending where i drive i'll get stopped.

The first time I was caught with pods and given a fine and a blue slip. Now i got the pods boxed but still get pulled over and given a hard time but they haven't found anything ... yet.

I fully understand if I was doing something wrong (being a Hoon) but just driving around with my wife and daughter. I have to be careful where I drive now.

I do about 800km a week mostly around north side and east to south east side and in 1 year of owning this car, I've only been pulled over once for a random breath test and look under the hood.

They were doing a blitz at spaghetti junction and I had an unmarked follow me for a bit before pulling me over. To be honest, I don't know how long he had his lights on for because it was completely blocked by the stock wing in the mirror.

He said I "seemed like the non-hoon type" and wouldn't keep me any longer. Very reasonable cop and easy to talk to about mods I had on the car.

never been pulled over in the skyline (now i say that...)

been pulled over in the corty, asked for my licence and then talked about the car for ten mins. " i had one of these cars when i was a young bloke..."

Just finished watching the first half which I missed on TV.

gotta say, the 2 guys in the skyline handled themselves very well imo. Polite and friendly when they got pulled over, honest about being done before and putting the mods back on etc, and the passenger was having a bit of a laugh at the fact it was the same cop that got him in the past...

Then later with the lying blonde bitch, I'd be firing up like that as well if I knew some stupid bitch was talking shit to the cops in order to get what was more than likely her own bad driving paid for by someone else...Especially when I'd just been pulled over and defected moments before, not to mention being in a modified skyline etc etc...

Why wasn't the bitch charged with filing a false report?

I think because she was saying she got told by people who witnessed it..

If someone told you they saw someone reverse in to your car, you would probably cause a fuss over it too even if it ended up being false right?

Been pulled over 8 times!

Mind you i never had problems in my previous cars Integra, Mazda, ford probe etc.

Over it

If i get pulled over white "hooning" ill accept it and blame my self.

But when driving normally (each time out of the 8), i get pissed off. Last time i said to the officer "why the f*k do i always get pulled over". After a while, you have enough of their shit

Yeah, it is pretty annoying if you were doing everything right and gets pulled over ONLY coz your driving a skyline.

I mean its fair enough if you were doing something stupid.

Last time I got pulled over for a random I asked the cop why he stopped me, to which he replied, "I pull over every one of these I see".

I no longer have any respect for police officers.

Thank you for listening.

    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
    • Dort sounds above 3k rpm are dorty 🤣 I might krinkle black the alloy 🤔
