Hey guys I just purchased a r32 with a rb20de in her, the plans for now are to drop the 25det in and keep the rb20de box. I have heard from a few people that the 20de box is the same as the 20det box just shorter first gear but the same power capabilities. is this true or will it die in no time i cant go 25det box straight away as money wont allow it. any body know?

cheers

It'll be fine until your first clutch drop :)

I ran a 20det box behind my 25 for a couple of years with no issue. It bolts up and saves a heap of hassle with crossmembers and tail shaft mods.

As you said, there's bugger all difference between the de and det boxes
