Damaged Clutch Housing...

Hey all,

My R33 went in for a new clutch and now the mechanic is saying I have a 'cracked clutch housing' that needs to be replaced.

I am told these are rare and hard to source, be it new or used. Is this true??

Does anyone know where I can get one from? How much etc?

This is a good example of why you shouldnt pay other people to touch your car unless you really really need to.

Theyre not hard to find man, hit up some wreckers, even these forums or eBay, and give it to your mechanic. He'll try n shaft you with a massive price if you let him find one.

Thanks Nic, the mechanic was the one who found it cracked when taking the clutch apart, would love to know how it happened. Its gonna cost $280 all up - and hopefully thats the end of the clutch issues because Im over it LOL
