How can I check if I have an F54?

All I could see on both sides of the engine was the 'L28' and block serial number.

All I could see on both sides of the engine was the 'L28' and block serial number.

Should be around halfway down the block, under the intake/exhaust manifolds..... (below them)

Have you got the head off ? If it has flattops, its a F54, if they are dished its a N42
