Paul SM
Used R200 torque sensing diff centre for R34 Gtt. $400 These diffs do not lock up suddenly like a 1-way or 2-way ramp type LSD, but will lock up progressively when traction is lost during cornering or in the wet. They will not understeer your car into a corner under decelleration. They offer superior handling on wet and slippery tarmac, allowing earlier accelleration out of corners. When adhesion between tyres and the road is good, these diffs behave like an open diff, so they also don't thump through the corner under a light throttle. Unlike clutch-type LSDs that are at their best when new but continually wear out from that point onward, the helical gears in this diff do not wear out, so handling and performance is the same throughout the life of your car. In straight line acceleration from a standing start, they will lock solid giving the maximum traction off the line. These diffs are virtually indestructible. Grunta
Reason for selling? was the differance noticable between the r200 and the standard lsd diff? Paul SM
Location? Location is south coast NSW but that's academic as the thing can be shipped wherever by courier. If you're interested I'll get a quote from Fastways.. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/289575-torsen-diff-for-r34/#findComment-4848881 Share on other sites
Paul SM
Reason for selling?was the differance noticable between the r200 and the standard lsd diff? I had a Cusco 1-way diff in my R33 and couldn't stand it on the road, although it was fine on the track and around half a second quicker than the best I could do with the viscous LSD at Wakefield. I was so desperate to get hold of one of these Torsen diffs that I bought it on spec, hoping it would fit the R33 but it didn't. Splines didn't quite line up and, from memory, the R34 half shafts have 6 studs instead of 5 or some such problem. Have hung onto the diff, thinking I might buy an R34 but now have a nice series 2 modified Stagea RS Four S. Consequently, I've never had a chance to use this diff but from all I've read about them they are the best thing to have.
