I bought a oil filter for a 98 model R33 and mines a 95 model. the one i got is for a RB25DE and mines a RB25E. can i stil use this filter or am i better off goin down and buyin the right one

You can use it, you have a RB25DE.......theres no such thing as an "RB25E".

ok well on the RYCO website and the book in the shop, it says that for a 91 to 98 model is the filter for a RB25E. and for a 98 to wateva model is for a RB25DE which is the one i got.

for the 98+ ones it will be for RB25DE "Neo" motors which are from R34's. It's probably their way of distinguishing between the models, now as for R34 Filter fitting an R33 i wouldn't know an i wouldnt think there would be a difference??
