Hi! I got a R34 GT sedan.

Im not sure what suspension i got but i think its stock.

Here is the ride height:

Seems lower than stock R34 though.

Anyways, the car rides fine with good handling but its a bit rough when using it as a daily ride.

Especially if i go over train tracks and un-even paved roads. Very Very Bumpy

I had my mechanic inspect my suspension and he said its fine and theres no faults.

So i was wondering if i can do anything to keep that ride height and make it more comfortable?

Thanks People

Your shocks are probably shot, and you may also be hitting the bump stops.

Get some new shocks - Bilstein, KYB, Koni - which should give you back a bit of comfort.

Also, what size tyres are you running?

Im running 235/45 Z R17 atm.
Those should have enough sidewall flex.
How much does a 4 new shock absorbers cost?
A set of Bilsteins or Konis might set you back around $1G, KYBs are probably a bit less.

For Bilsteins, talk to Quadrant Suspensions in Berwick. For Konis, talk to ToPerformance in Vermont South.

Best bet is bilsteins... new springs wouldn't hurt... could get some new standard spec ones, or some tein S tech or similar.

Quadrant in Berwick supply other suspension joints, 1300 for the shocks supplied and fitted and aligned is reasonable. Also try traction in rowville, they are always fair on price. Centreline arent and i dont rate their work.

Hi everyone, Thanks for all the replys.

My mechanic said its stock suspension.

He said i can upgrade to some coilovers or new shock absorbers.

atm, i want coilovers but need the $$$$$$$$

i guess ill save up for them and see how i go. Thanks people

coilovers will be harsh ride, especially cheapys

bilsteins wont be

I had bilsteins on my old R32GTS4. Hardest suspension I ever had - no give whatsoever. You could just make it move up and down if you pushed the boot hard enough....

Bu by god, it loved the corners!

what springs(rates) were in with it? were they off the shelf valving too?

Hi all. I was just searching, and atm looking for a cheaper option.

I came across Tein S.TECH Springs and Tein H.TECH springs.

Would these give me a more comfortable ride? but i think these will drop my ride height which i dont want to do because with my current height, i get my front bumper scrap at some places, therefore dont want to go any lower.

Any clue? ne1?
