Guys

I bought those leather boots for the gearshift, handbrake & arm rest and I have replaced 2 of them but cant see how to do the handbrake one.

Any ideas?

unbutton it and then pull out. its flexible steel piece that holds it in. like a spring.

Actually this one wasnt spring steel like the original .after taking the console off (maybe the long/wrong) way i was able to shape the wire like a V and wedge it in the clip. anyway its now all done but the button was hard to clasp. I think it was a little shorter than the original and alot thicker due to the real leather, not leatherette used....
