5 Stud Conversion Query

Im currently doing a 5 stud conversion, but does anyone know whether the rear backing plate (Splash plate) needs to be replaced also?

Assuming you are putting larger discs in, than the current spalsh plate wont be big enough.

but to save you having to find larger splash plates, you can use tin snips, preferably an angle grinder and put slits along the lipped part all the way around and then bend the tabs back.

are you going from a non-drumbrake to a drumbrake type handbrake? if so yes you need the backing plate.

yeah you will have to. and deffonetly keep the drum hand brake. disk hand brake sucks.
