he reckons that when heard me take off last night that he heard the turbo "whistle" which means that the bearing in the turbo is about to go?

is there any truth to that statement?

or.. as stated above... he smoking the cheap and nasty ass crack (not to be confused with someones asscrack) supplied by a 12yo pimp riding on a camel for $2

the whistle he heard as i would imagine would be the boost rushing through the intercooler piping. they tend to whine when you first boost... the death whine as its known caused by turbos on the way out is usually heard when the turbo is about maxed out {high boost} and there is alot of stress on the shaft and bearing.

I noticed the whine of the turbo spinning up after I put my dump pipe on. And I know that my turbo is fine cause while the dump pipe was off I check out the turbo for shaft movement and everything was sweet.

It's a really high pitched whine that goes so high it actually goes out of my hearing range !!!!

As the other blokes said, it's pretty normal.

It's funny cause when I do it past dogs and kangaroos they freak out... He he he he
