Rego Help

hey fellas, havent been on the forum in a while but i've got a question for yous.

im about to buy a car and here is the situation:

1. my friend bought the car in QLD.

2. it has not been rego'd in NSW and has been unregistered from QLD for about 2 years now

3. he has lost the QLD rego papers and does not have the QLD plates.

how would i go about buying this car step by step? obviously i will need a blue slip but can you sell ownership of the car or even get a blue slip without any previous rego papers? he told me that he can just write a letter of sale, get my blue slip done, pay ctp and head to the RTA to get it rego'd.

im not sure if the RTA will accept not having papers at all? i'm gna give them a ring tomo but thought id post this up anyway incase someone already knows.

car is legit incase you were wondering lol.

you need a blue slip

you need the original complince approvale

and proof that it was once registered

Im guessing your freind never had the rego in his name..yeah

The last registed owner was the Queenslander.

And with no paper work this could be a pain.

Its going to take more than 1 visit to the RTA..
