Hey man awesome build, I've seen you at C&C a few times your car is nuts! I was the guy in the stock 33 marveling at your car as it flew by me :woot:

Definitely given me something to think about for my build....

Thanks for the comments Jason!!

It's been out to a few c&c's which have been great fun. Wil be skipping this month though and going in a mates car.

This car is definitely far from the completed package that I'm chasing

Had a BOV and oil cooler fitted last week.

I was getting a big build up of pressure once i took foot off the accelerator so a BOV was the logical option. I just need to get a plumb back pipe made up so for now its running atmo spec.

Here is a picture of the oil cooler in place. We got a bit creative with the positioning along with the lines and oil filter kit. Lines run in behind the headlight & the oil filter is now mounted to the radiator/fan shroud and is surprisingly sturdy

Also one of the BOV

Ive also removed a few pipes here and there along with the intercooler to get a splash of paint

Bit of an update of what happened last night. Some of you might have read my thread in the FI section. Thought I'd post it in here too for anyone still following this build thread.

"So, my afternoon and night got interesting yesterday. Was going to head out the the harry's meet cause i was bored as fark... Decided to put the front timing cover back on to make it look a bit better. Marked up the CAS and everything as normal, took it off then put it all back on as normal. Cranked it over and heard a crunch so shut it down and took it all apart again.

After a bit of probing and prodding, I found that the "half moon" nubs in the CAS and on the end of the cam must not have been lined up perfect and it snapped the one off the end of the cam.... Not an ideal situation.

After some head pondering between a mate and I we came to a resolution. We ended up being able to line up where the half moons would be and get the CAS back on in that spot then line up the original markings we made.

Put it all back together and started it up and it cranked over fine and sounded like normal. We free revved it a bit and all seemed good, next was time to take it for a drive and see what it was like under load. We started with normal driving and occasionally getting into boost, all seemed fine. We gradually started giving it more and more throttle and everything was good. Finally we did one last pull, full noise through all 5 gears and it was exactly the same as normal.

Even still I may look into a replacement cam just to be safe.."

hey mate

just a few questions

how come you placed the bov on the hot side instead of the cold side?

how do you find the 6466 now that you seem to have driven it a bit now

what box and clutch are you running?

cheers

=)

BOV placement was all the tuners choice.

6466 is awesome to drive on the road. Once combined with cams etc it's not overly laggy and very streetable

I'm still running the standard rb25 gearbox with a custom NPC single plate button clutch

thanks for that!

did he give a reason as to why the bov was placed on the hot side?

Havent asked yet. He was very rushed to get that and the cooler in as he is relocating his workshop and fit me in on the last dy before he shutdown for a month or so.

The car in general hasnt had much going on for the past few weeks. Ive pretty much just left it in the garage and ignored it. Except for one dyno day I went to.
