First test drive proved very enjoyable. Driving a big stalled auto is definitely a lot different to a manual setup.

Saturday Night Roll Racing at Queensland Raceway back on the 14th was the cars first event. Anyone not familiar with this event up here, it's an awesome and relatively new social racing event similar to a happy laps or powercruise session. People line up in the staging lanes and in pairs roll around to the main straight and drag each other. The nights very social and is as fun off the track as it is on the track.

a few days prior to the event I got a fabricator mate to pop around and we had some late night fab fun putting a side pipe on the car. Personally I think it turned out awesome. Bolts on and off just after the gutted cat is tucked up high on the car for good clearance.

Now it was time to actually take the car out there and have some fun with it. To be honest I was more nervous than I thought I would be, it was excited nervous but nervous all the time. Took the first few runs relatively easy just to get a feel for the new setup and how it would react, specially the gearbox.

Mates got a video of the maiden run for the car. Wins a win even if its not overly fast

Took a mate for a ride later in the night and got an in car video of a race. As you can hear 2nd gear is a bit of a write off as it just wanted to break traction and get loose. New to the setup I decided it best to get out of it and back on it rather than drive though it.

All in all the night was awesome and got a great felling of accomplishment finally getting the car out to an event. Few teething issues here and there to sort out like any brand new build but all in all a successful first night out.

What power is it making on e85 again?

Currently tune is very mild. 500rwhp at 25psi. TH400 is a power sucker, however the cams that are in the head are too small for the size of the turbo and we arent seeing good enough gains per PSI of boost we are adding so we brought it back to have fun at the track last weekend.

Cams are In:264 Ex:272. Inlet is the big killer

Turbo: 80mm Billet Turbocharger

More info on crank trigger setup please.

Some good photos of it a few pages back.

Both cam and crank triggers use Honeywell GT 101 sensors. There is also a small 12 tooth trigger wheel that sits between the balancer and the timing belt cog

Pretty quiet on the car front for the last few weeks, busy moving house and life in general.

Contemplating a few different things to change on the car. Typical RB life has me pushing decent amounts of oil into the catch can. Thinking of putting on a "Pre catch can catch can" i guess you could call it. Here is a few mock up pics of what it would be. Hoping that gravity helps keep at least some of the oil inside the covers lol
