So I've been really slack and not updated this for a very long time. So much has happened with this car over the last 6 months i really dont know where to start.

There has been a workshop change due to the setup not originally performing the way i wanted. Few new parts were added

Turbo change from MTA 80mm ti a PTE 6870 GEN II

New Trigger kit setup

matching 270 Tomei cams.

Overall the setup was much more suited and all components working well. Car went 672rwhp @ 31psi through the auto.

Now for the photo dump, apologies I will try and keep these in order as much as i can,

Few snaps from my mate on the drive home from the workshop after the new tune. Safe to say it was an awesome feeling getting to drive it after such a long road

Next piece of the puzzle was getting my drag wheels to fit. I already had rust issues in the rear arches on this car so cutting them up didnt faze me too much. I bought some Carbon 400r style flares to go on once the guards were cut.

Finish product is here. I thouht a black CF flare would suit the setup but i actually dont like it. So in time i will get them paint matched white to the car.

I picked up some new street wheels this week. Panasports G7 C5C's in 17x10 +17 all round. Normally not something you can get away with on a GTST but with the GTR front end and the flared rear guards I thought they would be pretty bang on for fitment.

One thing I've forgotten was the digital dash. After selling off the Motec C127 before install to fund other mods, I still needed something to get reads on all the sensors ive had installed and I only had the limited stock cluster to go off. I dodnt want to spend 2k plus on getting a Motec or Racepak etc install so looking into cheaper options. Enter the Microtech LTC Dash, small 5 " LED touch screen dash for a fraction of the price. I paid $675 for the Dash plus the GPS & CAN Hub module. Microtech get their fair share os stick in some circles, however i can fault this dash for functionality and looks. Small enough to sit on the steering column & black blacking colour makes its easy to read at night and not blinding .

6 different display screens and warnings out the wahzoo. I find this is really good bang for buck

I've also been weighing up buying a trailer over the last few months as its starting to see a lot more events and trailering it there and back is becoming the easier option. After a bit of hunting we found a Tilta airbag trailer in Gladstone QLD for the right price. So off we went on a road trip from Brisbane and back in a day for it. Few pics from the drive up and of the trailer itself. Used a mates Falcon ute for the trip aswell

First real test for the car and the trailer was last Saturday night for Roll Racing Brisbane's first event of 2017. Put the big tyres on, loaded up the trailer and away we went. Here's a few pics from the event.

As 1320 were in Aus for Summernats. Kyle@1320video made his way up to brisbane and came out to Roll Racing to record some footage.

Highlight of the night by far was getting a call out from Kyle @ 1320 and the Forza Horizon R32 GTR for a race. Forza car is a 2.8L stroker and was making a bit over 700awhp on the night. Here is a few videos of the run. One from pit wall and one in car.

Hit up another even on Sunday which was Cruise Fest at lakeside. Mainly cruise sessions with 1/8th mile drags in between. Was a mint day out, street car'd it there and back. Only casualty for the day was my 400r flares. both came off when then fouled on the big wheels round corners. Zero f**ks given. Still raced for the rest of the day without the arches

    • They see me rollin' they hatin'....... Took me most of the day to make the necessary mods to the mounts to make them fit the car.  Fortunately I was able to just use the mounts that came with the rotisserie. The rear ones are really secure, the front I feel i might reinforce a bit more as it doesn't seem like enough attachment to the vehicle. I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than (extremely...) sorry.  I drilled and tapped thread into additional M12 holes to each car mount where it attaches to the rotisserie as an extra fail-safe. Without them the side to side movement is just restricted by the allen head pinch bolts, nothing actually goes though the beam. Does now! I still need to adjust the rotisserie to get the car centred in terms of centre of gravity. If it's too high or too low relative to the rotational centre line of the car, it will be like a turtle and roll onto its back or as it currently sits, I dont think I'd be able to rotate it as it sits as it needs to lift the whole car up as it rotates. Ain't happening... I'm going to be nervous as hell the first time I go to spin it on its side...
    • Oh yes done this when the window started flopping around.  Turns out the guides that run along the rail chanel had crumbed way. Took off the door card and pulled out the window mech, then the window, which you have to pull out through the top. As said unbolt the guide rail and don't spend 30 minutes getting frustrated trying to find a way to slide it out upwards cause that don't frigging work. Drop it down and out through the door hole. All I did to repair it was slice some 10mm clear plastic tube, vertically, then screw it to the guide rail both sides. This tubing rolls inward on both sides and leaves a gap wide enough to hold the window. To finish all I did was lube the plastic tube with olive oil and Bob's your uncle . . . well if he has the operation he can be your Aunt ! !  10 bucks in plastic tube and another 5 minute job done again . . . . YEH BULLSH#T ! My love for Skylines knows no bounds !
    • So was there a solution to this problem? I’m having this issue now.
    • not expensive, just irreplaceable if you don't go sub 60 at wakie in that thing people will start talking
    • I haven't replaced that, but I have had the doors apart on the r32 a couple of times The door skin will be held on by a combination of clips and bolts, just take it slowly and make sure all the sneaky hidden bolts are out Once the skin is off you should be able to pop that piece off pretty easily, looks like there are only 2 bolts holding it on
