Currently got my gbox out of my 34 GTR to replace the shitbox clutch ($1900!!! one) that the previous owner fitted only 2 months ago. It was fitted by a total twit from Cairns who wrecked many other things too (don't know if i should name n shame, pm to find out who), and the spray of grease from the release bearing seems to have killed it.

The symptoms i had were very heavy shudder, NO ability to take off up steep hills, and very rattley at low revs. I have been told that the noisiness is a result of either the solid flywheel that replaced that dual mass not dampening the driveline noise like the factory one would, or the input shaft bearing has been worn out by the weight of the full ceramic button clutch.

Anyone have any thoughts on what this is likely to be, and whether or not the bearing can be changed without stripping the box entirely? I have conflicting reports about the ability to change it easily...
