Rb20 Aftermarket Turbos

whats the best type of turbo for the rb20det that will handle up to 200-250kw on a street/ocassional drag car? looking at somthing that will come onto boost a bit quicker than usual and sticking to a budget of roughly $2000 including manifold/wastegate etc

the hks gtrs is the best option in my opinion , it will give u around 220rwk and be a very responsive turbo. going to much bigger in my opinion makes it useless on the street.

ok well loking at a hks 25/30 atm. its on ebay, 2nd hand.

It needs rebuilding. do u rekon its worth it since its 250 buks then cost of rebiuld wich im unsure of?

and wuold a hks 25/30 bolt straight onto standard mainfold and connect to all original connections such as hose etc?

check how much before you buy it, given its a garrett BB unit, the rebuild costs are usually over $1k

ask before you buy, you may be surprised

GOOD CONDITION BUT DOES HAVE SHAFT PLAY WOULD SUIT REBIULD OR SPARE PARTS

I TOOK IT TO A TURBO SPECIALIST AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULDNT BE TO EXPENSIVE TO FIX

STILL HAS THE ACTUATOR PLATE INSIDE THE TURBO (SEE PICTURES)

THE FINS HAVE NO CHUNKS OR CHIPS MISSING

then what is ur suggestion for a streetable turbo other than rb25 turbo and hks 2530 that is a reasonalbe price, standard oil and water lines are a direct fit and will fit a t3 flange!

Wow chalky not to be rude but... you ask a silly question that has been covered many times - you get an answer and then say you want something different.

A turbo upgrade is not cheap - you get what you pay for.

Either save up a little more money and wait a little longer and do it properly or go ahead and buy an eBay junk pile turbo put that on and your next post can be:

"I think my turbo from eBay is broken"

I have a 2530 on my RB20 and its awesome, trust me you would prefer to stretch a little than buy a cheap shite turbo especially for an RB20 which needs most of the help it can get...
