I would never buy a stock 32 gtr for more than 10-15k. Take the chance and buy one with 15-20k worth of mods for 20k. I'd trust a possibly thrashed forged car with pistons, cluth, turbo's injectors, exhaust, diff, susp, wheels, brakes etc over spending 20k on a stock one that might shit the next week or spit a turbo and your up for the cash for a motor rebuild anyway. If the one with all the mods dies at least you have all the gear to go with it and a fresh motor. Drive the modded car at the same power as a boosted stocky it would never die!!

You can't really thrash a gtr to hard on the street compared to it doing track days. Its like people talking about thrashed cbr1000's and r1's. Bikes do over 100 in first gear in around 3 second so you can't trash it to hard unless its tracked. How many gtr's are on the track compared to whats out there, not many. Might need a clutch and g/box worst case for a streeter. No probs with gtr diffs. Don't know what the guys are talking about. Transfer cases are a big problem with slipping and cost a few $ to rebuild. Don't trust the gauge.

There are so many cars you would drive over a stock gtr for the same cash anyway. Thier not that great these days in std form compared to newer cars. Modded thier great and cheap bang for buck!!!

Mmm you do have a point except i really cbf with the hassles of getting rwc and then when you get pinged by a tmu for a stupid amount of mods then need to go out and source the stock parts to clear defects,

I would rather have the parts on hand for an easy swap.

From personal experience hunting for GTRs....20k is average for a 32, 33s average 25-27 000. I bought my 33 for 25 188 with onroads. Extra if youre looking at a V-Spec variant. Don't trust the km's...ultimately, have it checked, as long as the people checking it are happy...and you're happy...then go for it. Theyre not easy or cheap to live with...at all...but that's a sacrifice you have to make ;)

i agree, average price seems to be around 20k or so. a year ago i was looking at r33 gtr's but the cheapest ones i could find were all around the 24k mark. i looked at them all and they were all in shit condition and didnt run well. on some occasions id say its safer to buy off someone in aus rather than a fresh import cos then u know the owner here has fixed up all the problems that came over with the car and u may score some aftermarket mods. however u can get good dealers with good cars. i found my r34 at carisma in richmond and was in perfect condition.

as far as the km go, never trust the speedo no matter what they say, it is 100% guaranteed wound back. in the end a good inspection and test drive will give u an idea if u want it or not. if theres anything uncertainty then dun buy it. simple.

Yeh I don't trust the odometer readings, They are more of a guide ish i mean if the cars done 170,000km the odometer isnt going to say 40,000 more like 120,000ish I guess. I've decided to import one because I'm sick of looking at the rubbish thats for sale in vic. The importer is giving me a garentee on the condition and if im not happy with the car its deposit back also a 1yr warrenty so that sits well with me, looking at auction grade 4 cars. So what ever i decide on should be in good shape.

my mate is selling his car the link bellow. very very clean and he was the first owner in aus aswell have a look and he is in sa but he come up to melbourne alot.

i imported my r32 gtr from carizma earlier this year. Its a 1994 model and it was in good condition with genuine log books from japan (Very rare for r32s gtr to have log books). imo if u can wait defiently import one as there is much more variety to offer then the local market.
