Since you've done so much damage, why don't you just get another neo from a wrecker and go again. It only died because your oil was on the track. I think a neo with a good sump will last for ages. 90% of rb's die from oil starvation of some description, or a bad tune. Don't see too many die from being pushed too far

i would but i cant find any around for a reasonable price... im not paying 2.5-3K for just a motor like some wreckers want,

mercuary motorsport proved you can push 700 hp from a stock neo and then subject it to drag racing for a while with their VC commo they built for a customer.. i dare say the rods and pistions are strong things!

i shall start a slow build of another block i have on the side... will get it ready for next year

Yeah the things that kill RBs are almost always oil related, fix that and you'll have a very reliable motor, nissan knew how to build them better than a lot of builders out there. I'd trust some guy that built 20 motor a day for years over some muppet that takes your $10k of parts and gets the clearances wrong.

i would have found a way to make it work lol.

well good news anyway i got my new crank tested, fitted with crank collar, ACL race mains and big end bearings supplied, and maching of crank for 400... not a bad price! just need to re-assy. check tolerances and then put it back together
