hey fellow skyliners,

i have a r33 gts-t that is running very rich and guzzeling the fuel,

is there a way of adjusting the fuel ratio to get more kms out of it or does it need to be tuned at a workshop? i have done a few searches but cant find out much

cheers

Only way to adjust the fuel ratio is with a SAFC, but If you don't know what your doing you will most likely cause more harm than good with it. Better off with Nistune (either use a R32 ecu + nistune or a Z32 ecu + nistune to keep the VCT) and taking it to a workshop to dyno tune it.

the factory o2 sensor only makes it run rich at low load, like when cruising along at the one speed. if you put your foot down the ecu ignores it.

so if you floor it a lot then a new o2 sensor won't help much, but if you do a lot of cruising at a steady speed and are driving it sensibly and the economy still suck, try a new o2 sensor

Did cleaning the AFM or replacing the O2 sensor help or are you goin down the track of a z32 & nistune?

I have a 96 r33 gtst with similar problems with fuel so i am curious to your solution as well..

Regards,

Darren

i looked at the o2 censor and it had a small amount of carbon on it but not much so i put it back in, on the other hand i didnt have much luck with the afm does anyone know a link to a good DIY afm cleaning...is it an extensive process or 10 minute job?
