sigsputnik
So what do I have to do to get a response from a moderator? I've PM'd Blitz and Bu5ter about not being able to edit my threads in the For Sale section. I've sent about five PMs all up, over a period of weeks. NO response. Nothing. Am I missing something? R31Nismoid
What do you want done? If you want threads edited to remove info - that's not going to happen. If you want to update the price, simply post the amended price in the thread. That should pretty much cover any edits to be honest. We have a massive Admin get together in Syd this weekend, so i know I've got at least 2 dozen PM's outstanding as I'm busy preparing for the meeting as no doubt others are. Beer Baron
well no response can be bad but people do miss pms etc. anyway the answer is no body can edit their posts/threads in forsale any more as there was abuse of this feature by scammers. they have a thread. then later edit out ph number, prices, everything and people can't figure out what happened or track them down easily. so for the protection of users the edit feature was 'modified'. now you can only edit a post for something like 2 hours after it's made. after that it's set in stone so you can't go back and change what was said etc. I know it can be a pain in big FS threads where you want to update stuff as sold etc, but due to scammer abuse, this is the small inconvenience we have to live with. if you really do need something changed (mistake etc) then pm an admin and they will (should) do it for you, providing the request is within the rules and is reasonable. W0rp3D
I know it can be a pain in big FS threads where you want to update stuff as sold etc, but due to scammer abuse, this is the small inconvenience we have to live with. I dont know about these forums but on others they have a feature where when you change a post and it adds a button down the bottom and any one can click on that to see what was modified and when.
