Time for a change and a new project as this build has simply reached the end, and as the car is reliable its simply not fun for me anymore as I have no excuse for any more upgrades!!

Ok where to start! I have owned this car for 3.5 years now, and it was completely stock when purchased with 92,000kms on the clock... I put 50,000km on it in 2 years commuting from Gosford to Sydney for work prior to the rebuild.

Serviced every 5,000kms with Penrite sin... all other fluids are hi temp Penrite Sin also and have been changed regulary - no log books, but feel free to ask Dave the amount of times he has changed fluids in this car!!

Year: 1994

Km's: 170xxx (engine rebuilt at 148,000) See rebuild thread in FI section Click Here !!

Location: Western Sydney

Colour: Black

Rego: Yup till 31/01/2010

Transmission: 5 speed manual

Price: $22k ono - I have spent more than $60k in mods alone.

Contact: PM or post in thread

Ok here goes the list of mods:

Motor/Engine Bay (built by Dave aka T04GTR)

*Arias Pistons and Rings (20 thou)

*Eagle Rods

*Prepped block (all the usual)

*ARP stud/bolt kit etc

*Low km auto crank - linished, grubscrewed and collar fitted

*Custom baffled sump - oil change = 7.5 to 8 litres - returns from rocket covers to sump (never a drop in the catch can)

*N1 oil and water pumps

*Tomei valve springs

*Tomei cams

*Head has been ported

*Gates timing belt replaced when motor was rebuilt (also has a gates hose kit)

*550cc Injectors (Maxed with Sard FPR, will need bigger for more power)

* Bosch 044 mounted in tank (quite noisy)

*GReddy Inlet plenum (HPC in hi-temp silver)

*Q45 throttle body (90mm)

*Custom 1" steampipe manifold (HPC in hi-temp black, could do with a redo though)

*Garrett 42mm wastegate and custom screamer (Ducatti 996? muffler as the pipe, nice deep growl)

*T04Z (Garrett) with TA45 rear split pulse (same as GT42R) - rear housing is HPC in hi-temp black

*Alloy radiator (40mm I think)

*FMIC

*Still retains air conditioning - all functioning and working correctly

*Splitfire Coilpacks

*HPC coated bits and pieces - see pics

*Pod enclosure (well whats left of it after the T04Z was installed :ermm: )

*Braided lines and fittings everywhere

*GReddy Profec E-01 Boost controller (set to 24psi... there is more in the turbo :P)

*Haltech Wideband O2 sensor and display module in cabin

*Haltech E11v2 ECU and map sensor - 3 bar (tuned by Hitman)

* YES ITS HAS AN ALARM AND 3PT IMMOBILISER (ALONG WITH SOME ADDED CUTS ALSO)

I am sure there is more, but that is the major stuff.

Wheels/Brakes

*Nismo LMGT3 18x8.5 fronts and 18x9.5 rears.. currently wrapped in Federal 595 SS .. prolly about 50% tread left (235 fronts, 265 rears)

*Alcon "k" type front calipers (massive 4 pot, from nascar not the australian "b" type kit)

*2cm thick Performance Friction 01 race pads

*355x32mm front slotted Alcon rotors (brand spanking new, paid for ($1200) and just waiting on delivery )

*All braided brake lines

*Larger bore master cylinder (not sure on size but Dave did this the same as his GTR)

*Rear brakes are slotted rotors (standard size), braided lines and Nismo pads

Driveline/Suspension/Exhaust

* standard rear diff (was shimmed, but is starting to open wheel so would need redoing)

* standard gearbox with OS Giken gearset (4th is starting to crunch very occasionally, not enough to worry it and I was putting a dog box in)

* C's short shifter modified to solid (removed the rubber bush thing and replaced with steel insert)

* ORC 709D (I think, top of the range one) Twin plate clutch (like new, was checked when we replaced the thrust bearing recently)

* 3.5" full exhaust system - custom dump into veilside front pipe into rear kakimoto section (one muffler). There is no power loss in this system :)

* Tein HA coilovers (jap spec)

* Cusco front and rear strut braces

* 4.5 degrees camber at the front, can be realigned to standard if buyer wishes longer wear from tyres.

* I believe all the sway bars etc are standard, I have not replaced anything, nor have I looked to be honest.

* Hicas computer has been removed, although the Hicas is all still there. Done to make the steering heavier and therefore giving more "feel" when driving.

Inside the Cabin

* GTR front and rear seats (R32 front, R33 rear)

* usual floor mats that they all have

* Momo Steering wheel

* Nismo Gear knob

* Greddy mechanical oil pressure guage

* Timex 2 Oil and water temp guages

* E-01 boost controller screen and removeable hand controller

* White 300km cluster

* TV/DVD single din head unit - comes with TV module to watch normal channels etc (its a no name although its a pioneer before they are branded, remote is the same). Can have cameras etc plugged into the control unit... ( I currently have a pioneer headunit in as I got sick of the TV, but I will swap over this weekend)

* JBL top of the range 6" component system

* Kenwood 7x10's in the rear parcel shelf

* Eclipse 12" sub in enclosure with grill

* Pioneer amps running everything

* Tinted windows - 5% all around except front windows which are 10%

* Flare is still there, if your into that sort of thing

* Everything electrical works and the dash pad and surrounds are in excellent condition

Exterior

* Nismo B pillar garnishes

* GTR style grill

* Nismo 400R front bar (although repaired many times, it could probably be replaced as it is now really thick from all the fibre glassing and has some cracks that are taped up)

* Standard side skirts, rear pods and wing

* All guards have been rolled and the rears slightly flared to accomodate the massive slicks used

This is not a show pony car, and other than the brakes, it appears fairly stock standard from the outside

There is a range of spares and and stock parts that will go with the car such as complete spare power window motors for both sides, spare headlights, spare starter motor, spare interior bits and pieces, spare standard back seat (covered in pleather) ... there is 2 boxes of stuff and the new owner is quite welcome to take it all away.

The bad points:

*Drivers bolster will need redoing, has just rubbed through the fabric (will get pics)

*Front window rubber mold has never sat right since the window was replaced 3 years ago. Would need a new rubber if this irritates you

*Front bar has cracks (again will get close up pics)

*There are two slight dents (one each side) from people ass's leaning in the middle of the rear quarters with wallets in their back pocket, however THESE ARE BEING REMOVED NEXT WEEK and has already been paid for

As mentioned, its not a show pony and all the money went into the motor etc. It is a fairly respectable looking car on the outside, its not exceptional but it is tidy and presentable and rust free.

More pics will be up Monday when the camera returns home (including dyno sheet and interior). Please note the close up of the engine bay shows the old GT35R...these are some pics I had already on the computer. The first photo was taken about a month ago (fanks sl!m :)) and has the T04Z in it.

And for comparison... this is the old dyno sheet with the GT35R and restrictive 3" exhaust :rant: :

I DON'T CARE IF YOU BELIEVE "I'M DREAMING" REGARDING THE ASKING PRICE.. WHEN YOU HAVE BUILT A RELIABLE 400RWKW FOR LESS THAN $22K THAT ALSO STOPS QUITE WELL, THEN YOU ARE FREE TO COMMENT. UNTIL THAT TIME KEEP YOUR COMMENTS TO YOURSELF.

WOULD ALSO LIKE TO MENTION NOW - NO TIME WASTERS, NO ONE UNDER 25 DRIVES IT UNLESS A CONSIDERABLE CASH DEPOSIT IS IN PLACE AS IT IS NOT A VERY FORGIVING CAR TO DRIVE NOR DO I KNOW YOUR DRIVING SKILLS :)

Yes this car is not for the faint hearted. you will need to have some serious balls to take this one on.

Good luck with the sale. I will keep my eye out.

Thanks guys... :)

Anthony, get someone OS to buy it so you have some competition there!!

Ryan... if I don't get what I am asking, I might part it out.. or return to stock somehow... lol ... If I do you have first dibs on the rims :)

Have you had it on the dyno with the New T04Z .84??

0.84 twin entry (TA45 though not T4)

Yep twice... first time the gate was creeping as the new manifold was working and the gate couldn't keep up made a lazy 330rwkw on 16 psi and at 6500rpm... lol

last time with some gate design changes made over 400rwkw but pulled it back to just under as the injectors and fuel system are at their limit and I wanted some room just incase...

The GT35 is very linear, almost like a standard turbo in terms of the power delivery .. when it comes on boost it doesn't really throw you in your seat.... but I was running the 0.63 rear on the GT35.

The power curves are quite different on the dyno sheets (T04z one will be up early this week)

T04z.. is well... fun :( You can feel it building then at 4,000rpm or just after depending on the gear, its all there and throws you into your seat. At least when it comes on you know it ;)

Ryan... if I don't get what I am asking, I might part it out.. or return to stock somehow... lol ... If I do you have first dibs on the rims :(

Thanks Anna, you know how to find me.

Would you be interested in swapping it with a 500bhp Supra?

Would you be interested in swapping it with a 500bhp Supra?

    • I'm not up to date on the latest, but for basic modifications like pod filter, lower springs etc you can get a modification permit at the time of inspection.  For more serious modifications you will need engineering.  Intercoolers used to fall into the mod permit rule but its been a long while since i looked it up.   Either way you will be able to get it registered, just a case of $300 vs $3k .
    • Hi everyone! I’m the new owner of a 1996 R33 GTS-T, I’ve purchased this car over from Queensland and brought it to Western Australia and I’ve found that there is a hole cut out in the engine bay for the FMIC that enters into the wheel well (fender liners are in the boot). For anyone that has had to get their car over the PITS here, will this be a major issue?
    • Yeah I've spotted this one too, whenever it's lotto superdraw week and I'm browsing car sales dot com for my new ride They must be dreaming, maybe it's worth 150k for the link to Brock?
    • 100% accurate!  We are a pack of know it alls....  But, I bet people go to you when they have a problem! I've been on a bit of a clean up rampage too over the past month!  I've thrown more shit in the bin over the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years combined! Anyway, it's all good fun being different! My wife sometimes does not agree!
    • ADHD in all form isn't about "can focus, or can't focus" or is hyper active or isn't etc.   It's all a dysregulation. Either time feels to be stationary, or time just vanishes in a split second. We are either under focussed on the task at hand (as we're over focussed on our surroundings) or we have no idea an atomic bomb went off beside us as we're so hyper focussed and locked in on things.   Not to mention the rapid fire thought process. What it takes a "normal" process to think up a solution to a problem, ADHD will be able to give you 5 different ways to solve the problem, and the pros and cons of each. While we can be highly impulsive and lack the ability to "control ourselves" we can also become paralysed with the inability to make a decision for ourselves. While most of us have an OCD like requirement for perfection, we lack the ability often to remain focussed to get things to a perfect state. Those with undiagnosed ADHD as adults, can often find the last part actually stops them ever attempting to do things that they have the ability to do, as the reasoning is often "if I can't do it perfectly, it's not worth doing"   As for projects... Ha ha ha, I still need to take the other half of my wall trim down in the Fiance's office so I can paint it. Need to finish digging and running the back yard drains, my R33, getting the Ninja bike registered (now being sold), the moped project, fixing either of the lawn mowers so they're reliable, along with a myriad of other things.   It's why I've been going through lately and just being brutal and clearing projects off that I won't actually ever complete. IE, moped will go to the tip, or be given away, bike is being sold, Subaru project being sold, some parts for other projects given away. Or I've been making myself focus on one thing at a time, by ticking off the smallest quickest ones first.   There's also a reason by our mid twenties we seem to be "know it alls", as we've all been down some of the weirdest and oddest rabbit holes when you follow the dopamine trail. It's often also why we're more a jack of all trades, but not a master of one.   However, pretty much all of my hobby projects, in one way or another, all come back around to automotive. That's my zen area.
