Just got the following parts put on:

-STRUP stainless headers

-Berk cats

-Ichiba y-pipe

-ztube and popcharger with heat shield

-motordyne spacer

-unorthodox racing pulleys with belts

-Stillen grounding kit

-06 jdm tailights

-NRG hood dampers

-B+M short shifter and Nismo carbon gearknob

-15mm Ichiba spacers front and 10mm rear

Wow what a difference these mods made! Car revs much quicker and the exhaust note is awesome. No rasp or drone yet.(has a kakimoto regu 06&r catback) Hopefully it stays that way.

All work was performed by Greg and the boys at autosport engineering and took 12 hours to do the lot including engine and gearbox oils. What a job they did and for an excellent price!!

The header install was not easy they tell me :P

Now off to get a tune on monday at CRD. Getting haltech platinum interceptor fitted.Hoping to pull high 180's or maybe even low 190's.

Will post dyno sheet up monday night

Yeah that's what i've read and what my bestmate experienced. He saw 20kw+ difference between CRD and ISMR. On another forum, some members have seen 15kw diff between CRD and UAS.

Doesn't really matter though..if it drives to your liking then it was worth it right :ermm:

I'll imagine after the tune, it should pull pretty sweetly! Let us know how it goes.

i might pull 200kw then :)

Nah thats fine i will get a before and after readout so i know how much extra power it made after the tune.....regardless of whether its a high figure or not. hoping for 10-15kw atw

we spend alot of money on our cars to extract little power

the $ - kw ratio imo is not worth it, hence why i will not be extensivley modifiying this car. not worth the money. rather make it look good than go good. no need for excessive speed on the street.

How'd it go Robbo33 ? :P

My tune only netted me peak 6kw atw i think, mid range was MUCH better though and no more gay 6600rpm rev limit now...feels like a totally different car. Oh and no more pinging whicich no doubt affected the power delivery (ECU constantly adjusting ignition etc).

No go yet!

the haltech got wired in and was all good to go. Put it on the dyno and it wouldnt rev past 5000rpm!

its a software error with haltech itself they said so back there on saturday to get it sorted out. all they need to do is make a phone call and it will be sorted instantly but because it was after 5pm they were closed.

Did pull 168rwkw without the tune though...so not to bad.

Full credit to the boys at CRD though as they were more devastated then me! they wanted me to leave the car there overnight so they could sort it first thing in the morning but i needed it for work tomorrow and to get home tonight (silverwater to miranda). they even offered me one of their cars for the night, but the tuner came in and said he just bypassed the haltech so it was running how it was when i drove it there.

So bring on saturday!

got the car back from crd today with dyno printout.

Made 179.6kw....couldnt quite get 180kw.

And the initial readout was 165.8kw not 168kw as they first told me.....so just under 15kw at the wheels with the tune and now revs to 7200rpm!

All in all im very impressed with how the car idles (before the tune the car would stall on cold starts and idle all over the shop) and the midrange is so much better.

will try and post dyno chart tomorrow

    • Got my R34 gearbox around 4-5 weeks ago. Came into some extra $$ recently and after I cleaned the mess off the notes, I thought, might as well buy that R34 box I've been pondering.  In that time I've pulled the engine out, replaced rod and mains bearings, done a few other engine things that are much easier with the engina out eg PRP oil pump upgrade, replacing wastegate coolant lines, installing Turbosmartass turbo oil pressure reg, made some mounting brackets for some of my mods that are "hard to reach", converted the R34 box to R33, put the engine and new gearbox back in the car. Plus cleaning ...Oh my god so much cleaning when doing such a project. Yep I'm a busy bee, buzz buzz. As part of the gearbox project, researched posts and found this thread (In which i nailed it for the OP), hence the post here # logical thinking.. Not all about you old boy, SOrrryyy. Dare I ask,  how's yours going ,> Or you got it done yet, and if so why didn't you post any of the tips I posted to help other members? ???
    • Seems to be the case mate , still an OK price for a grey import.
    • I’m interested in the carbon diffuser fins and Toshiba MFD screen replacement if they’re still available.
    • @GTSBoy yeah i know it was not the "great" idea but it is and option...but i think i will stay on no BoV rather then trying to make it work with "half" this and that. But that GReddy FV2 is cool...i like that you can make it like stock if you want (and have/make the custom pipes) For other thanks! it was alot of information. But for the sound...a dont rly "like" both of them...specialy if they are loud...but if i "must" choose i would rather have little whooosh rather than sutututu with no BoV....BUT that is what is i gonna get. So for the all info i gather. In my case:  No BoV is not that bad cuz it is stock...and iam used to put N/clutch right after rpms are around 1000 so it should be ok...just need to avoid "big" drops. But i do not have the engine in the car so i do not really know how "bad" or good it is. But as i had that little test drive it looked ok. The atmo BoV should be worse car would dump to much fuel specialy between the shifts...so without proper tune/ECU i dont want that. BUT with that...car should drive ok with no problems right? (i do like there is less piping wih this solution) 🙂
    • Usually an RB20 won't stay in closed loop idle anyway. The O2 sensor gets too cold, stops swinging.
