hi guys putting my rb30/26 into my r32gtr can someone tell me which engine mounts are used to make it sit lower thanks.

You have to use the GTR engine mounts, and you cant sit the engine lower as the diff will be sitting on the cross member.

i used stock gtr R32 engine mounts ( i have bnr32)

and i had to cut a hold in the hood for the valve cover and turbo other wise the hood won't close

likewise - dont change the geometry of where the engine sits - i also cut my hood to clear the front cam cover & the 'twin turbo' induction pipe on my r32

u only cut that much ???

i had to cut a huge hole in the hood to clear the valve cover and turbo

but that didnt' work !!!!

so i cut the whole thing out !!

Is that an RB26 manifold though?

I had the same problem with a monster turbo i had a while back, but the reason it was so bad is that the manifold was an RB26 manifold and of course that doesnt account for the extra height

being an aftermarket bonnet it must sit lower? standard engine mounts right?

what surprises me stevo is the cam cover height in that pic, that bonnet is lower than factory
