its pretty expensive build to do tho.. some1 told me on ns.com to have 20g ready to do the 3071R turbz on my pulsar(plus the supporting engine/diff upgrade) he also told me my straight cut gears wouldnt be able to handle 300awkillerwasps, is there many things stronger than ppg straight cut gears?... bit of a turn off right there...

Jeremy i reckon he doesn't know what he's talking about 20k is rather large and gtir are already turbo

only thing is 3071r on a 2.0lt might be a bit laggy

ring AM Performance he makes dumps and might know a lot more about the gtir that some rando on NS

oh and i know 3071r isnt rated for 300kw i just asked about that seperately.. if it was 15k id do the pulsar, 20k is pushing it... got to get rid of the stupid s13 :)

How much for the sil?

lol that turbo will do all of that.....should be quite responsive with a small 0.64 rear housing.....mine is a 0.62 or a 0.63 rear housing and see full boost by 3200-3400rpm.....

    • Welcome James.....will be interesting to see how much fun there is in the project. .....where's the pics?
    • Your profile doesn't say where you are, but you can get your current turbo rebuilt by any competent turbo shop, places like Precision Turbos or GCG They can replace the core with a modern ball bearing unit and should be able to source same or slightly larger wheels to fit in you housing. Note if you change the core you may need new oil and water lines too
    • If you are fine with China turbos, Maxpeedingrods makes a bolt on turbo. Ive had mine for two summers now and it seems to be holding up ok.
    • Howdy all Im in a little predicament and wondering what everyone’s thoughts are? I’ve had my long block rebuilt and am in the market for a turbo due to my old one having metal shavings from crank bearings (cause of rebuild) go throughout the turbos oil lines and there wheel has a little play. I’m not really aiming for any power, just trying to keep it as oem as possible, but I can’t find a turbo that’s built for the stock ecu or find something that would be a standard replacement. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions
    • How's everyone going? Just a shout-out introducing myself. I'm James, I live on the north side of Brisbane. I bought an R33 that had been left to rot in someone's front yard for 14 years. Apparently, it has immobiliser/fuel issues. Long story short, it's suffering from a seized engine, plus whatever else turns up once it runs. The car is pretty good considering it sat for so long. It pretty much died after being imported. It has a bunch of Jap parts and a full Top Secret body kit. It's painted Fiat Turchese Festival, or aqua blue if you're not French. Another project to throw money at!
