even the biggest computer retard can see the little box next to safari and bonjour, and then click them off so that the only update they receive is for itunes. and if you fail to do that, even my alzheimers suffering 80 year old grandmother knows how to remove software.

haha cops arse Dave!!! You'll be surprised... people just hit the update button. Seen it many times on friends and family members PC's and ask 'why the f did you install safari'... to a reply of 'what's safari?'

On one occasion with my old pc - I left it running for a couple of days straight while ripping down a big torrent. Came home from work and found bounjour and safari both installed... now unless my cat decided to jump on and have a game of solitare, how the f**k did that manage to install!

edit - bloody swearing filter

Hey Dohmar, could you price me up some 500cc or similar injectors for RB20, Ceffy needs more powwar!

approx $550 (aud) delivered for a set of 6 550cc lucas injectors for rb20 (high impedance) - could be cheaper if our dollar goes up, cheaper still if you have a low impedance injector conversion (rb26 injectors cheaper than rb20 for some reason)

nice 1 Josh

Mitch - expect to pay $550 + 30 shipping for the NPC 5puk cushioned button clutch its rated to 350rwkw or about 330awkw and 1200kg pressure plate

I'm organising a couple soon so if in 4 weeks all you guys are ready to order would make NPC's day :/

this is how he makes the clutch

>>original group buy #2<<

PM me a few days before it happens and ill let you know :P

ahk , im gonna need a new clutch soon i think

mines got stuff all meat left

but i dont know what to get lol

I am running a F1 racing stage 4 clutch....bought it off habibay and its looking pretty good atm.....holds 250rwkw and has had a full track day flogging.....plus the usual flogging from when it gets driven.....nice and soft pedal.....way better then my excedy clutch that i had in there before.....bare in mind that clutch was rooted lol.....and that came with thrust bearing and pressure plate for $350 del

Woke up to a $2543 phone bill from 3.

Rang them up, and luckily... They admitted they f**ked up. Now it's only $119.

That really got my heart racing for the morning!! f**k.

your partying days were almost over aye :(

Yeah maybe... Tonight I have a birthday at the stupid Highway Inn or whatever it's called, then tomorrow I have a birthday lunch, but I'll see how that one pans out!

EC's tonight or ban :(

the closest I've driven with the exedy pressure plate is Marks GTR and that was very nice to drive some might say too stiff but i like a heavy pedal

as this uses the same pressure plate I'm sure it will feel the same

i have bought braided lines and the nismo big resi as well that will soften the pedal but hopefully not too much

mine?! yeah u get used to it... its only done about 7000 kms and i love it.. recon it will only last another 7000 max with 400 kw and a soft foot though.

whats the eta on ur beast steve?!!? cant wait to have a bit of a cruizy with ya.. although im sure u'll be in ma passenger seat before too long. also just putting it out there... another geeky night at arena's? been ages and i really enjoyed it  recon that was the night i was a passenger in the lovely 4 door :(

There's no reason why there can't be a day for both. 2 groups 1 sliding, 1 grip.

now this i like.. would make for a really fun day lots and lots of epic

should have more fotos and possibly a vid of engine running tonight :)

    • Because people who want that are buying euros. The people with the money to buy the aftermarket heads and blocks aren’t interested in efficiency or making -7 power, they’re making well over 1,000hp and pretty much only drive them at full throttle  best way to way make money is know your customer base and what they want and don’t spend money making things they don’t want.
    • It's not, but it does feel like a bit of a missed opportunity regardless. For example, what if the cylinder head was redesigned to fit a GDI fuel system? It's worth like two full points of compression ratio when looking at modern GDI turbo vs PFI turbo. I'm pretty reliably surprised at how much less turbo it takes to make similar power out of a modern engine vs something like an RB26. Something with roughly the same dimensions as a -7 on an S55 is making absolutely silly power numbers compared to an RB26. I know there's a ton of power loss from things like high tension rings, high viscosity oil, clutch fan, AWD standby loss, etc but it's something like 700 whp in an F80 M3 vs 400 whp in an R33 GTR. The stock TF035HL4W turbos in an F80 M3 are really rather dinky little things and that's enough to get 400 whp at 18 psi. This just seems unwise no? I thought the general approach is if you aren't knock limited the MFB50 should be held constant through the RPM range. So more timing with RPM, but less timing with more cylinder filling. A VE-based table should accordingly inverse the VE curve of the engine.
    • I've seen tunes from big name workshops with cars making in excess of 700kW and one thing that stood out to me, is that noone is bothering with torque management. Everyone is throwing in as much timing as the motor can take for a pull. Sure that yields pretty numbers on a dyno, but it's not keeping these motors together for more than a few squirts down the straight without blowing coolant or head gaskets. If tuners, paid a bit more attention and took timing out in the mid range, managed boost a bit better, you'll probably see less motors grenading. Not to name names, or anything like that, but I've seen a tune, from a pretty wild GT-R from a big name tuner and I was but perplexed on the amount of timing jammed into it. You would have expected a quite a bit less timing at peak torque versus near the limiter, but there was literally 3 degrees of difference. Sure you want to make as much as possible throughout the RPM range, but why? At the expense of blowing motors? Anyhow I think we've gone off topic enough once again lol.
    • Because that’s not what any of them are building these heads or blocks for. It’s to hold over over 1000hp at the wheels without breaking and none of that stuff is required to make power
    • Dort sounds above 3k rpm are dorty 🤣 I might krinkle black the alloy 🤔
