I swear my RDA slotted rotors are getting, what I can only describe as "hot spots" on them

post-58049-1279600621_thumb.jpg

Cant really see them in the picture, but they are like a dark shadow.

bet you had some grease on your fingers when you installed them ????. pull the pads off , give them a (pads) quick file off and feather the corners to stop chatter and squeal , and spray on some brake cleaner while your there. light sand in a random fashion , reinstall , should reseat within a few blocks. remember you brakes will be low for the first go...lol

pm me if you want a more detailed version..lol

Gee, only 65,000km on the dash .. *cough*

R34 GTR MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY VSPEC II VER. (WORTH $2500)

weird, I didn't pay near that for the one in my car ... Given all the other items they've quoted costs for, they really seem to have an over-inflated opinion of what adds value to a car.

3.5INCH FRONT/DUMP PIPE (CONNECTED TO A SCREAMER PIPE FOR FASTER TURBO SPOOL)

Aren't screamers illegal?

TBH, the entire car seems like a big sign saying 'defect me' - but eh that's my view. Hope they don't live in SA or VIC or they like bending over ... Lots of threads saying it's impossible to get a RB30/25 conversion through EPA in Vic without spending $3k per test (which you could fail). Ah well ...

im going with the probably just dirt theory. unless youre a secret midnight uber street racer, theres no way youve been going hard enough on your brakes to hotspot the rotors abe.

actually, i should go take a pic of a my ats clutch so you can see what a proper hot spot looks like, lol.

lol, watching a doco on how they build the Corvette Z06:

"The Z06 has cross drilled rotors. These holes help the engine gases escape faster"

lol. i remember hearing that when i watched, i lol'd. other than that, its a good watch.

May have had grease, but after installing, I sprayed them with brake cleaner and then washed off with water, I'll have a look tomorrow. I have some copper grease to try and help the brakes from squealing, if the weather is good tomorrow I shall try and do it.

Just a question to the SAU sa execs..

A few weeks ago, Damo said for me to fill out the correct information for a registration form, and all would be sorted. So i emailed my information to sausa's hotmail address, paid the fee's, and have not heard back.

If somebody from the exec team could inform me as to what is going on..that would be awesome.
