Just finished my breakfast .... mmmmm 6 rashers of short back, 4 eggs, salt, pepper and smoky bbq sauce = WIN

you wont fit into your club shirt eating that, next time you get the urge better invite me over :whistling:

Dion and Fabs32 your clutches have been ordered

I'm upgrading the organization to Windows Server 2008 tonight. And Exchange 2007.

All by myself.

Oh god.

It's going to be a late one!

Yeah. Im not a fan of the new way they separated exchange from AD (which tbh is the old ways as thats how it used to be pre-2003)

setup win2008 on a vhost last year and the damn thing needed 4192megs to install. Not a meg less. Was very frustrating. I had to fool the vm by creating a hdd swap. Which made the install go on for a long time due to page swapping. Fun.

I just finished polishing the 35 .... did a full "Meguire's Swirl Remover 2.0" light cut and polish yesterday, then today have done a full-on "Mequire's Tech Wax 2.0" polish and hand buff .... needless to say I am a bit tired and sore now .... but the 35 looks like someone has just poured an icy jug of water all over it .... mmmmm WET LOOK!

Why the f**k did they move back to Exchange 5.5 days again?! That's f**ked.

I had to do a few recoveries for 5.5... oh my god... worst experience in my life. So incredibly difficult.

yeah so now when creating a new user, instead of getting an email account and a home share created automatically now u gotta create the folder, share it, put that in AD and then open up exchange mgmt console and create the mailbox - which does propagate into ad but still, its a pita...

So I need to buy everything to give my RB25 a major service tomorrow. Obviously I know where I could go, and what I need, but does anyone have any advice on cheap places and things to watch out for? The service itself will be done by me - as opposed to a mechanic. Much appreciated :whistling:

Go to Motor Traders, and start from there.

Ryco Filters, Z145a i think is the part number for your oil filter.

Do the Fuel Filter also. Gates Timing belts, maybe replace your thermostat while you are at it.

Gerbox and diff oil, yeah, i guess people have their own preferences.

Just go over everything, feel the swaybar and links, check for cracks in bushes..simple things like that.

The mechanic who is doing it, would know exactly what to do. Labour..maybe 2 hours..ish.

bingo

    • Well, turns out not a lot happened from back then to now, between life again, and working on 3 separate other cars (only one of which was mine, and will now be departing the household soon).   So I decided with the whole "don't go outside, it's a cyclone!" Turning in to being not a whole lot, I ventured down to the garage, found a couple of water leaks in the shed (the main one I've already fixed), and then ended up "stuck" as it started pouring rain, and I didn't want to walk back inside in the pouring rain. This meant I ended up taking a look at the Skyline, and trying to work out what past Matt had been upto. I retraced a few things out from scratch, added the rest of the power feeds in that I needed for the indicators, and headlights. Double checked I'd wired a few things up correctly (and worked out how I wired a few things to begin with), updated my sparse notes. Added one of the ground points. Oh, and got really really dusty, as the car is quite dirty. Wrote up quickly what should be left for me to do with the wiring too. Adding the below photos more for my records than anything else. I need to make myself a proper book for the car that details everything, and how I've done it, but for now, this is my records... The third image is my most important one for me, and I need to draw it out into a proper schematic eventually. The last photo is my re-written list, I'd have put it on the white board, except I had to take the white board down to fix one of the water leaks.
    • Can try Maxima. Or random Infiniti models from the same era. Good luck with your hunt, let us know what you find!
