Can't seem to fix the quote in that last post, entire passage of text is missing when I hit edit

Basically you can take your alternate init string and on the connect screen of nissan data scan modify the init string the software uses when you try to connect to hicas system.

refer to my previous post, 'lookrs232'.

once its loaded up and u select com port/speed etc, type 'h' into the trasmit (left) window and it will autocomplete to hexadecimal, then you can type e.g. FF FF EF (or whatever) on one line, then some other code on another, and run a line at a time. so u can have a lint for init, one for streaming something or other, one for stoping streaming, etc.

the trial version has a decent amount of functionality (i think after 10 minutes or something u need to restart it, but never really impacted me too much)

Sounds good, I looked on their site today but the download link is broken.

Found a download else where though will give it a run tomorrow.
