I know some of you chaps see a lot of engine set ups, good and bad. I have built an all steel Nissan RB26 twin turbo Skyline race engine that could make 700 flywheel BHP on decent fuel. I am now at the stage of making the fuel system for it. It wont be running ethanol or methanol, just pump or "normal" race petrol. I am considering using a big Walbro in tank lift pump feeding a stainless swirl pot via -8 hose and a big -8 unioned filter. Twin Bosch 044 Motorsport pumps then suck from this pot via -10 lines and blow through two big -8 unioned filters, to a -8 T piece. A single -8 braided hose feeds one end of the fuel rail, and a -6 goes to the FPR and the from the FPR back to the swirl pot. The swirl pot has a top overflow return to the main tank in -6 hose and fittings. Should the -8 single main line to the rail be adequate? Everything else sound OK, I will be powering the two 044 pumps from the rear mounted battery with hefty cable and a 70 amp relay. Thanks.

Sounds pretty much on the spot but i'd change a few things to be like this:

-6 line from in tank pump to swirl pot

-8 lines from swirl pot to 044's

-8 lines out of 044's tee'd into a single -8 line that runs up the front and either tee's into two -6 lines feeding each end of rail, or keep the -8 going to one end of the rail

-6 line from end of rail (or centre of rail, depends if u want twin rail feeds) to FPR

-6 line from FPR back into swirl pot

i'd look at using a bosch intank instead of the walbro

    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
    • I don't even go that hard core. I just say "how do you expect me to stay, when you increase my premium, and reduce the value of the car?"   Then play a game of shut the f**k up. Most of the time it's a computer that did the adjustment, and the people will happily change it around for you.
