Should be getting GTR back today yay! Was meant to have no radiator so not sure how it got moved lol

I think sh@un has taken more photos of R35's then ive ever seen in real life.

I saw a different one every day last week, but only manged to snap three

I am the R35 spotto-meister :(

See a white R33 GTR parked up near the corner of my street nearly every day, at North Ryde just off Epping rd... Still hoping to pass when the owner's near the car...

Not gonna be too specific about where as the owner would not appreciate it i'm sure...

spotted a white stag at dural/round corner area this morning.. was about 8.30am.

Massive front mount and drag strip run number on the back.. T41 if i remember rightly.. allllso has a sau australia sticker on the side!

Spotted a white Stagea in Terrey Hills this afternoon

Stagea spottings go HERE...

Oh, and that would be Alex aka CL11QE in the white s2 with T-41 written on the back windscreen. He went to the drags last week, 28th of October...

Also spotting lots of various Skylines in shift and casual parking at OCS (Optus Campus) North Ryde. Both nice and some in need of TLC...

From memory there's a nice white GTR that is generally in Casual park, usually back wall, rego GDZILA or something close...

Quite the collection of nice cars in that car park most of the time... The Lambo pops in from time to time....

Of course, none of these cars can compare to my '33.... haha!

Hey that's me! (the GD2ILA GTR that is). There is also Paul with MADGTR R34 as well.

The super cars a driven by a guy named Lee. He belongs to the supercar club so drives the Ferarri California, Lambo, Austin Martin, R35 GTR and a few others in. He said the R35 is amazing to drive and just corners so hard!

Well, if that's your R33 with the front mount, I've see your car in there a few times.

Spotted a Silver S2 R33 with a black bonnet in Collaroy today. SLO33T maybe? Gave a wave at the last minute.

Also saw GTR70Y (I think) Bayside blue R34 GTR coming out of the Quix at Narrabeem yesterday. Wicked looking rig.

Haha! How awesome! Been admiring ur car since just after I started then!

The R35 is....... I'm not sure there's words... I was lucky enough to drive one at my last job, just after they went on sale in Oz, and it was the most responsive, interactive exciting, amazing car I will ever drive.... And i've driven a lotta different cars! Aston's, Porsche's, Ferrari, Maserati, if it's high end or super I have more than likely had a spin.

The R35 tops them all though, and really kicked my skyline obsession into overdrive... Was in my '33 within 6 months, haha...

There's a black 33 with a huge (red?) front mount cooler I have noticed, but that's not me.... I'm the one with the white rims. Been in shift for a few weeks tho. I'm up in MTS on D3.

There's both some really cool and really dodgy cars in there... Gotta say the bright orange pulsar sss with the black stripes (UDI something) cracks me up....

Take care of that hot car of yours!

:P

    • Yes, but it's not as easy as pulling a fuse on anything other than an R32. There's a routine you have to do, involving disconnecting a loom plug and bleeding down the preload.
    • A question for tuning awd, is it possible to disable the AWD? The stagea is an EA/T AWD, Toshi had said on a GTR, he was able to disable it and make it 2wd. Just wanted to double check if this was possible
    • Whoa, that's a name I've not see for a long time! Sorry to hear about the engine / turbo damage.  Fwiw with any engine problems it often really a case of just seeing what happens when it's apart, ymmv - I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the damage isn't even from the turbo failure, or possibly from a combination.  The airflow between cylinders isn't dead even, injectors can go off over time as well, with the turbos overboosting if you didn't have upgraded fuel system there could have possibly been a bit of leaning out - stock triggering is often a bit unreliable by this age too.  Basically its an old engine and a few things could have been going on, and you won't know how much work is needed until the engine is apart.
    • I'm just shocked there's a euro driver on our roads who is thinking of other road users and not attempting to blind everyone. I wonder if Prank uses his indicator too...
    • Its hard to tell really. The Q50 owner's forum talks about it a lot and has quite a few people directly affected, but no idea what % of cars sold actually had the block replaced. Also, there seem to be 2 distinct issues which both get diagnosed by Infiniti as requiring a block replacement (no wonder they are going broke) 1. "Porous block" where coolant mixes with oil through thin or poorly cast parts of the block 2. Head coolant gallery plugs not sealing. If I was noticing engine coolant loss I'd start with cooling system pressure test (as always) and then I'd pull the cam covers and reseal the coolant gallery plugs on both side before worrying about a potentially porous block.  If neither of those did the trick it would be put in a second hand engine out of japan; I haven't checked pricing but I'm sure there are plenty around by now as they've been in production 10+ years
