Anyone Able To Help Me Get A Car Back From Interstate ?

I had a car towed from the SA/VIC border to Christies Downs when I was on a road trip back from Melbourne using the RAA.

2 tow trucks and 1 phone call, and I didn't have to pay a cent. I'm on the full membership, though.

RAA are awesome!

And why wont tow trucks not touch the car just because it isn't working? Just say it's working and then when they get there, just say "the engine exploded a minute ago". They only tow it onto a truck, anyway.

Can the car be moved at all - ie. start and run? Because I had a car brought over from Victoria which was un-roadworthy and had a blown headgasket so it didnt idle properly or anything. Cost me $388 Warrnambool Vic -> Adelaide. Car was picked up from a residential address. BTW it took less than a week, and it had to go Warrnambool -> Melbourne -> Adelaide.
