Damaged Cam Journal. Need Someones Opinion

just wanted to get someones opinion of some damage i did to a part of the head where the cam sits.

i highlighted the part which is damaged on the photo

theirs a large scratch where its highlighted.

not a problem. if you are worried carefully sand there with a little wet and dry to make sure there are no sharp projections

but how on earth did you do that? what does the back of the cam look like?

seen that one before, if unsure better to get a machine shop to weld a chunk back on and regrind it to spec
