hey guys just a question?

Is it a must we use the 20 bolt washers?, and that o ring which comes in the kit?

i purchased the whole set, but the bolt washers didn't fit my neo s2 gtt?

Is it going to be fine. The seals and half moons were applied with silicone by the mechanic, so that was ok.

Just out of interest, when I replaced my seals I used whatever Phillips screwdriver I had handy and did the screws up tight.

When I went to my Tuner a couple of weeks later, he pulled out his No. 3 screwdriver and a small ratchet spanner and did them up much tighter.

He reckoned they would've leaked the way I did them.

Personally I just reused the old washers too.

run a thin line of silicone gasket maker (blue/grey or black stuff, same as you would use for the sump) under the half moons before you install them.

the rest of the cam cover gaskets do not require sealant.

they do require rubber bushes on each screw/bolt in good condition (replace them! or just use 3mm slices of fuel hose like we did in the race car).

most important...do not over-tighten the cam cover bolts...they are meant to be 15-20nm only!!!

What are your thoughts on using the red Permatex stuff? My rocker cover uses that and I didn't want to mix it incase it causes problems. Or maybe I'm overthinking it.
