Afm Replacements.

Cut the long story short

i gave my car abit

and it just died lol

engine shut off and woudlnt hold revs at all even in idling

iv tried starting the car with no afm pluged in and it works

so i gave it a clean and etc and the car starts perfectly

now with the cleaned afm the car wont rev past 2.2K rpm

it seems time for a new 1

Basically, you can use the one off a Z33 or a J31 Maxima... just be mindful of the exorbitant price that Nissan will charge you for one.

My mates M35 has a Z33 AFM which Nissan prescribed for his, and is running fine (over $300 though!!!).

Best bet would be to get a second hand one from IM.... if you can wait.

Double check your codes and if possible the AFM voltages via Consult. You don't want to buy one if it turns out yours isn't shagged...

if it is like the RB25 afm's then a simple re-solder of the dry joints internally will fix it.
