why not get an ATI 4870 video card?

Alright plans have slightly changed after a few discussions about it all

Case + PSU : Antec NSK4000 @ $65 and either Seasonic PSR550+ @ 119 or antic of the Antec TP PSU

M’Board : Gigabyte EP45T-UD3LR @ 131

CPU : E8500 at 225 or E8400 at 207

GPU : either 4850 at 139 or 4870 at 159

Monitor : Asus 23” VH232T 2ms at 219

RAM : G.Skill-NT 4GB DDR3 at 103

HDD : Hitachi 1TB at 97

OS : Win7 OEM for about 119

DVD : Pioneer 218 at 49

Software : Office Pack

Get the 4870, you can crank up the E8400 pretty easy even on the stock cooler, with something better you could run it all the time at around 3.8-4GHz, 8500 will do it easier.

FYI those 512 4870 are 'while stocks last' iirc, I picked up the last one at Clayton the other day.

damn at those prices I almost should have bought a 4870 lol, but its still twice what I paid for the 4830!
