Hi Everyone

Please note that these courses are not trackdays or advanced courses, they are the courses your parents want you to do !

We have lots of vacancies, so feel free to pass this info on to as many people as you like.

The special offer of $99.00 per driver is only valid for the above dates.

Below is more detailed info on the courses and booking information...

Driver Dynamics, Victoria's most experienced Advanced and Defensive Driving School, will be conducting heavily discounted Defensive Driving Courses at Sandown Raceway and Calder Park Raceway in Melbourne during December.

The cost of the courses has been discounted to only $99.00 per driver. Known as the 'December Safe Driving Courses' these full day Defensive Driving Courses are aimed to give young drivers the post license driver training they need at a super affordable price.

Suitable to all drivers 18 to 80 years (P plate drivers a specialty) and suitable to most vehicles including four wheel drives and light commercial vehicles. Presented in a relaxed, friendly, and supportive environment by qualified, experienced instructors, with a balanced mixture of theory and practical driving exercises. The practical driving component this course is conducted on wet roads at suburban speeds. It includes a variety of on road exercises including emergency braking, swerving, and multiple direction changes.

The aim of these exercises is to educate drivers in:

* Basic vehicle dynamics

* The correct systems of car control : seating, vision, and steering

* Correct braking techniques for both ABS and non-ABS vehicles

* Skid causation, basic skid control, and skid prevention

* Raising the drivers level of awareness in relation to speed, reaction times and stopping distances

* Learn how your vehicle reacts in emergency situations

Key learning objectives of these courses is..

* Through practical driving exercises, become more ‘speed aware’, particularly in how the degree of vehicle control difficulty increases exponentially in relation to increases in vehicle speeds.

* Develop an understanding of basic vehicle dynamics in emergency situations.

* Learn to predict potential hazards, identify risky situations and minimise danger.

* Understand the importance of keeping your vision high and maintaining sensible safety margins around your vehicle at all times

* Develop a positive and proactive attitude towards defensive driving.

These courses will be held at:

Sandown Raceway Melbourne on 6th-7th-8th December.

Calder Park Raceway Melbourne on 13th December.

SUITABLE FOR MOST VEHICLES, INCLUDING FOUR WHEEL DRIVES AND LIGHT COMMERCIALS!

We are taking bookings for these courses right now.

Just a few q's please, as I've never gone, but am interested:

How much are these usually?

Do people know also of any insurance company which can reduce your premium once you do one of these?

Does someone sit in the passenger side and give you tips as you go along or is it just go out after a lecture and discover the limits of your car at your own leisure kind of thing?

Thanks.

Just to answer a couple of questions.

FWD is fine.

You would expect to pay around the $280 so $99 is a magic price.

As for insurance. Ring and find out if they would do you a better deal .

And you wont have anyone sitting next to you .

Guys this is a great deal . But ya dont need me to tell you that..

definitely going, but, just to make sure, you need to have a victorian license to do the course right? is a singaporean or international license alright? since i might have friends coming over in march or june, thought i'd take them for a course or 2.

whats the split between driving and theory? 50 / 50 or more one than the other?

you do more driving. a quick hows your uncle in the morning then a bit from each trainer at each exercise. don't forget your sunscreen and hat. =) great day, super bargain price too.

Ok

Just so there is no confusion

THIS IS NOT AN ADVANCED DRIVING COURSE, NOR IS IT A TRACKDAY.

This is a Defensive Driving Course, please have a careful read through my first post for details on the course content.

The day is split 50 / 50 driving and theory

Kind regards

Kev

I know in the initial post it was written that it's suitable for driver's aged 18-80.

Just wanted to know if I could still take part as I'm 17 and still only on my L's.

Would your insurance etc still cover it? or is a current full or probabtionary licence needed?

L Platers are OK, but must have a fully licensed driver in the car with them.

Hi,

Interested to see any feedback from those who attended this defensive driving course. Any comments anyone?

Also wondering about the age range of attendees. Any 'older' drivers?
