Green monochrom pcs at school with a very limited amount of games.

we use to play a turn base game called island you had 30 days to make moves and build shelter and get food etc. Its was fun too.

I used to play this game (when I was about 8) on one of them thar microbee thangs, it was a sailing or yachting game, where you had to sail around islands and stuff by entering co-ordinates, like x longditude by Y latitude. Anyone remember this or have I got no idea?

yeah migual I remember. And you would land on an island and then use the same co ordinate strategy to stay alive and hunt and collect food and build up shelter. It was hard. you had to stay alive for 31 days.

Up until a couple of weeks ago the only other computer I had purchased new from a shop was...you guessed it...a Microbee 16! ahh the memories, loading some state of the art (read: crap) game from cassette tape for 1/2 an hour only to have it crap out in the last seconds and having to start again.

The hours playing Emu Joust or Four....

I think our toatser has more computing power thean the 'bee ever did.

i have a microbee lying in a closet. i think sweden or somit is the only other country to have seen them, even tho they are australian.

think we fired it up a few years ago, but the keyboard springs are knackered.

has a disk drive on this one, the size of a shoe box.

remember having an orange screen, but dad paid some tv guy big $ so we could get colour on a small tv.

might be interested to see the emu if it ever gets out.
