Righto, I need to sell this car so I can put more money into the 32. It is a very regretful sale and I would really prefer to keep it but my wife's a bitch and is making me sell it. I have owned the car since 2001 and have been the only Australian owner since it was imported.

This is a very rare car, only 300 Familia GTR's were given the rally treatment from factory in the guise of the GTAe (sadly most of these met their demise in the GRP. A competition) and only 2500 GTR's were built for the road to meet homologation requirements for the WRC in the early 90's.

For those that don't know much about these little rockets here is a quick rundown of Factory specs for the GTAe:

Factory handbuilt engine BPT 1.8L 154kW and 250Nm;

Squeeze cast pistons;

Hollow camshafts (to save .5kg for each);

Sodium filled exhaust valves;

Match-ported exhaust manifold;

Shot peened close ratio gearbox;

Rear Viscous LSD;

43-57 front-to-rear torque split under static conditions, up to 60-40 under high slip conditions.

Air to Air Front mounted intercooler;

IHI RHF-6 VJ23 Ball bearing turbo;

Brakes are 274mm (ventilated) at the front and 280mm (solid) at the rear;

No ABS (to save weight)

No climate control or stereo (comes with option of aircon)

No electric windows or mirrors (wires add weight)

Door trims 1.5mm thinner than road going GTR

No sound deadening

15 inch Enkei wheels (195/50 tyres);

1210KG (10KG more than the Grp.A homologation threshold)

These cars are very very quick and it's not very hard to get 200KW out of them with just a pod and a 3inch exhaust to free up the airflow a bit. Okay so that should do for that, if you need more information google is your friend.

My car is still in standard form but it is still very much a good looking and quick car. The suspension is amazing and this thing will out handle most other cars on the road, even when rallying the teams left the suspension as is from the factory it was just that good. The car has 187000km on it and although it came with a close ratio box it is now sporting a rebuilt standard GTR gearbox. I still have the close ratio but it is in need of a rebuild. The gearbox was built by Jaustech in S.A but sadly they no longer deal with the Familia.

Car has Blitz Sus power pod, Custom made 8.8mm top gun ignition leads, NGK iridium plugs, K&N oil filter, has had nothing but synthetic oils since day one, Microtech turbo timer, Very good alarm, tinted windows, Factory option Air Con, Sony xplod CD player, Kenwood 6x9's on parcel shelf (these could do with replacement as could the parcel shelf), MOMO gearknob, goodyear eagle GSD3 tyres.

Since I got the 32 I have not had the car registered and it has been sitting in the carport gathering dust (it's a sad sight for me) so the car is sold with no registration or RWC. Car can be test driven but I will need to get new battery and a permit so that it can be driven. The car was my daily driver up until 2008 and the only thing that needed replacing were tyres, brake pads and the gearbox, it never ever missed a beat.

Would be perfect for getting into rally or hillclimb and also good as a motorkhana, targa or curcuit car. It's great on the road too and is not a cop magnet like the GTI-R, it actually will chew a GTI-R to pieces too :)

I can't say much more about it, if you need more information or have any questions just contact me by PM, email, text or call the mobile. Remember this is a GTAe not a GTX with a GTR bonnet and front bar.

Price is $9000 firm which is a bargain.

(in engine bar pic below there is a Blitz BOV, this is no longer on the car. It is back to standard recirc BOV)

Car still for sale. Funny that hey, Selling a Mazda on a Skyline Forum plus it's not advertised anywhere else... Yet. I told the wife it's for sale and online but it's only a matter of time before she makes me put it on carsales or something. (I so don't want to sell it)

C'mon guys, buy yourself a bargain collectors item. These are selling for around the 14K mark for a genuine Familia GTR and this is the rarer Rally spec. Great base for a race car project!

Price won't come down more $9000 Firm
