I'm looking at starting the lake jumping/silly season early this year. my next free weekend is the 14th and 15th of november. most likely on the sunday.

I'm planning on draging the ramp out of my yard to the rowing docks, taping a few bottles to my BMX bike, getting some beer, maybe cook up a bbq, and have an awesome day down on the shores of lake burley griffin.

So who would be interested in coming down and having a crack at it?

honestly its only water, it cant hurt ya, bahaha.

Heres some pics from last season

also theres some vids from last season too on my facebook page, worth checking out...

3/4 backflips really do hurt :(

I a more than keen to do this. Like excessively keen. I've got an old BMX we might be able to use as well, I'll take the brakes off it and it will be sweet!

But yeah I don't quite trust that lake....oh well I don't care, if's it's open then whatever, just don't inhale it rofl. Would prefer another location tho.

Oh also, My mate has a ramp very similar to the on you use, that he built ages ago but doesn't use. We could use both? rofl

yeah troy the more ramps the better, if it is smaller than mine then that would be awesome, (most people say there gonna give it a go then get scared of the big ramp lol)

and eyah 2 bikes makes it heaps fun

I'm very open to suggeestions of a new place to jump, but I'll keep an ear out about the lakes condition

It's back on! sunday the 13th dec, same place at 1:30 pm

i organised it then remembered about that possible chrissy cruise, if that happens on the 13th it'll be a good place to stop and check out the lake.

Standing around looking at cars being pampered that are designed for flogging and should be on the track, I think the track still wins :)

Me and Zane celebrated the r32's birthday in true nissan style taking 1 and 2 in class at Oran Park. Thats what the 32 is all about

    • If you are genuinely considering trying to get this engineered, I would strongly advise finding the engineer that is happy to sign that off first before you put the hole in your car.  I've seen cars get defected for this and not be able to be put back on the road as no engineer they spoke to was happy to sign if off.
    • Apologies, while id like to put the MAF as close to the TB and relocate the recirc, this may be too much work. Will most likely end up just putting it on the original AFM spot ( onto/next to the airbox ).  Was going through nistune, found a pretty nifty doc on this. Nistune MAF Notes. Also, i was looking through the bay, and there seems to be a tube/line connected from the A/C to the intercooler piping ( Between the smic and the recirc), what does this do as the crossover fmic piping doesnt have any connection? plumbing? not sure what you call it but the nipple thing ahah.  Also, been reading up more about crossover fmic in regards to the legality of having the hole drilled for the piping, this would most likely need to be engineered right?
    • My advice is if you need a big build done do it in Japan. The yen rate is so favorable and there are shops that can be genuinely trusted and not micromanaged/carefully monitored every step of the way. Garage Yoshida is obviously my preferred option but they're so busy these days and all interaction with new customers has to be mediated through BBL/Toprank now.
    • I haven't....but a poorly made one would terrify me. Surely a good second hand one is the go, as they don't work hard and no-one wants to keep one after they are finished with it A big consideration would be the weight of the shell you are putting on it....is it a fully dressed chassis or just the body
