Yeah and I hate the OH&S that I have to put up with compared to 10 years ago, but its part of my job and everyone else's, thats life.

In regards to the fingerprints, another Half assed attempt by the police. They're happy to hide out in bushes with lidars etc, hand out fine after fine then when it comes down to actually doing some police work that will lead to an arrest its straight into the too hard basket. They'll fight to the end to see you buried for a traffic offence, 8 hours spent at court, but won't follow through on a real crime because of paper work thats a laugh.

Its a prime example of why people get frustrated with the lack of effort placed into Break and Enters, stolen cars etc.

Wow no traction in 4th gear at 170+km/h you must really be pumping out the horses!

I never said no traction at 170... But definite no traction at 100 to be able to put the horsies down... Proven on the track to with Semi's on... :D

Also, I don't think you're really seeing it... The only way they could make that arrest for my car, was if they got the guy straight away with whiplash etc. BUT they can't go around straight away until prints come back (Which 99% of the time come back negative anyway) and hence now, the only thing they have is one item, which won't get them any where for a conviction... IE, it's impossible now for them...

Also, traffic section = totally different section to detectives...

Catching someone in the act is so much harder then trying to track 1 in a million people down from a vague description... That's IF there was a witness to give one!

So your story about knowing who it was that stole the car and having finger prints is a steaming pile of crap, you keep changing the facts.

Quote "I know for a fact my setup I run now leaves me doing around 170 - 180 KM/H now (If I get traction)"

now you change that story too!

If we put the traffic cops into general duties and detective positions maybe then they'd solve some crimes.

This is getting old fast arguing with you. My mother always said not to argue with idiots, they'll only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!

Take care Matt.

Dear Sir,

It seems that you are the idiot, resorting to personal attacks. No story has been changed, you have simply interpreted the facts how you see fit.

If a car is doing 100KM/H and can not put down its power to accelerate, how will it reach the 170KM/H if it's not accelerating...

Coppers did a print of the car. They removed prints from the car, they must wait for prints to come back before they can proceed, prints come in 6 months later, which gives them no extra evidence, by the time this comes in the extra evidence they could have had had they questioned the day it happened, is gone... Hence, they are left with a mobile phone of a local "punk" who is known for knocking cars off, but the coppers now have no evidence to pin it on him.

Oh, and I'm sure your mother used that line on you when ever you started to argue with her... But it was probably said "Dear Son, shut the f**k up, I don't argue with idiots, you'll bring me down to your level and beat me with experience"

And, the next time you get into an argument you find you can't win, as you're not interpreting the facts correct, STFU before resorting to name calling...

lol! 6 months to get prints back.. awesome!!! why'd it take so long? why weren't you harassing every day to find out where your prints were? seriously... 6 months.. thats a joke! Do these people solve any car related crimes with a response time like that? i doubt it! do they care? i doubt it! it doesn't bring them any money!

Oh come on sweet heart don't get upset now, cupcake. I didn't mention anything about your car accelerating, you said it would be doing 170-180(if I get traction). what you're trying to say is that your car has enough power to break traction in 4th gear at 140+km/h. Of course a car needs traction to accelerate, however, you were implying that your car is an out and out monster capable of spinning the tyres at any speed in any gear.

I'm going to stop posting after this one as it seems you've run out of intelligent things to say and are resorting to swearing and insults( which confirmed my suspicions of your status as an idiot). I'm glad that go on defending the excuses and the incompetence of the police handling your stolen vehicle, you must be really happy with their customer service skills!

Keep on trucking pal.

I did hassle them a few times, and in the end I gave up.

The copper who was the contact point couldn't do two fifths of f**k all about it. It's all held up by the lab.

Think of how much shit goes through the labs, and severly under staffed too.

Also Mr Magoo, it does spin 4th up occasionally on street tyres sweety. As for resorting to "name calling" Princess, you did first :P So I leave the question, doesn't that leave you the bigger idiot?

Seriously not taking a shot at you, but, in the end you gave up and I know you can't make them run the prints, or make the labs hurry up, giving up is not the answer and this is why so many people can't be bothered fighting, everything takes time but that doesn't mean you should just give up. It took 5 court dates and over 8 months till my case finally got dealt with.

For the record, I Didn't call you a name genius, only put forward a statement which you happily claimed as your own, that being the title of Idiot.

Sweet Dreams Babycakes.

Dont worry about MBS206 probably some c**ksucker that wanted to become a cop and never made it. Try the following things as you stated, like with the manuals and finding the model for FIDLR unit or what ever they call it. However i wouldn't give up and try your best, make up that you need the car for work. Id still maybe argue the point he wrote 115km/h on the sheet even if he says 146km/h.

The cops in this country are complete idiots cant even do there jobs, you can argue that they do there jobs what ever you want to say but compared to police in my home country there a f****ing joke compare to them. Im sure he would of written off the fine if you gave both cops $500.

Otherwise if during the court case you see you dont have a chance just plead guilty, but as a last resort only. As the thing is the sterotype is also a huge issue, because the Skyline in the police books have a bad name, they stereotype that anyone drives a skyline is a hoon. Thats why skyline owners are most likely the ones that get pulled over the most randomly.

Otherwise id just want to mention good luck in court, but the system seems really f'ed up.

Not trying to pick a fight nickperth, but its attitude like that that get us all in trouble. You can't tar em all with the same brush.

Your best bet in this situation is to try and get as many character references off people to say that this behavior is unusual and out of character for you. A good driving record and attitude go a long way. You should ask to have the case adjourned so that you can attend the (i think this is what its called) traffic offenders course/scheme. After you complete the course (about 8 weeks) go back to court and hope for the best, legal representation will go a long way here, if you give an acceptable reason as to why you need to keep your license that will contribute to the outcome being a better one.

As for trying to prove that the officers using the lidar were incorrect. I got some info of someone in the know and they informed me that many if not all magistrates in NSW attended a course on how to use the LIDAR correctly, its my understanding that the training takes up to a year to complete (correct me if I'm wrong) for the officers to be competent! Trying to prove the officers wrong is not a good defence at all.

You admitted to speeding so your best chance is trying to have the charge reduced.

Hope this helps.

Hey look another baseless accusation from some butt hurt teenager. Think about what you just said... if after you've thought about it and haven't changed your mind about that statement I suggest you either go back to school, or ... most likely in your case, stay in school.

but compared to police in my home country there a f****ing joke compare to them.

And what fine country are you from sir? If it's so much better there what the f**k are you doing here? Can I hazard a guess at saying you're from a middle eastern country? :)

As the thing is the stereotype is also a huge issue.

Irony anyone?

PS: @OP: Let us know how the case goes.

  • 2 months later...

You know what I find funny... I copped a major fine over Christmas, left me with 1 demerit point, the RTA sent me a nice little letter informing me I had SFA room for error, but what they did mention, was that if I were on my full licence (I am) is that I opt to take a good behaviour licence which would give me 2 points, for 12 months...

The letter stated you can just apply to be put on a good behaviour rather then taking the full suspension. (And they even included examples of high speed causing 6 months loss of licence).

Why not just apply for that?

haha, what a cum stain you are.

people like you need to be either lined up and shot or deported back to your 'home country'.

trying ringing around to a few of those cheap lawyers

Don't waste your time with a cheap lawyer, you get what you pay for.

If you want any chance of getting off (probably unlikely) your going to need a decent lawyer.

I know of a good one, PM me if you weant his details.

Paul

Supposed to get my licence back in a couple of weeks, court hearing a week later .. Going with a lawyer most likely.

Re RTA stuff .. that's RTA and demerit points related, different to police suspension which starts immediately (I think). I too will be on 1 pt for a long time (18 months or so) if I'm found guilty so might just get a motorcycle licence once I have the car licence back.

To the guy whose friend was doing 124 in 80 zone .. if he only received an infringement notice it's a 3 month suspension and 600 fine (plus 4-6 demerits) so in a way he was lucky because if it had been 126kmh he would acopped 6 month suspension and $1750 fine

even if you get your bike licence isn't it tied to your normal drivers licence thus if you loose your car licence you also loose your bike licence?
