Here ya go, the fun everyone missed on the way home haha.. only decent vid that I can be bothered uploading at 1am lol..

Ignore the stupid chatter between Andy and I.. except the part where I heel toe down 2 gears.. im still proud I did it properly without jabbing the brake in harder

Vid ends when we start to catch the other cars that left earlier.

Hey Dave I can hear me behind you once towards the end of that vid.......MORE FOOTAGE.......MORE FOOTAGE NOW

amazing turnout...this was the first 1/3 of the cruise filling the carpark at the halfway house....

then we had to scramble when the 2nd 1/3 of the cruise arrived...

When the first half of the second 1/3 of the cruise turned up... :P

A few people decided they'd pull up around 2KM before hand to ah... Water the trees... :P

Group 2 then got swamped by group 3 also... :P

All in all guys it was an awesome day without incident with a great turnout of cars!! Great to meet some new people and catch up with the usual suspects... and to have a good laugh at lunch thanks to Ed and Sheng as well as the infamous garlic bread incident!!!!!!!

Yeah, I just got home. Great cruise it was nice to see so many skylines out'n 'bout.

Now, I've got heaps of video to sort through.

I can't wait to see the footage as the camera fell away.... I did a massive evade manouvre as I didn't want to run over it!! In hindsight I think the damage was done when it hit the ground but in my mind it went like this "damn camera fell off, must not drive over and break it " ... lol

Great cruise.

Bloody hot, got a mad truckies arm lol

Just made it to Rozelle servo, 475km trip and used 80L :) Wouldnt mind a V8 Supercar style drop tank.

Then filled up again and have just got home from another cruise, a total of 13 or so hrs in the car, a new record.

Duncan,

the missus loved the March, now she wants one lol

80L!?!! Damn!! I used 55L all up for 500 odd km's so I am pretty happy with that fuel consumption :P ... we went back via broke... Wollombi pub :P .. wisemans/kulnura then a quick trip down Bumblebee Rd (Kulnura to Yarramalong) .... to Tink's house... couldn't be bothered doing old pac home by that stage and slowly headed back on the F3...

+1 for an awesome day.

My pasty right arm is now red also!

Really good day though, the cruise back through wine country with cassbo etc was epic!

We were sitting at Wollombi pub as you guys went past... thought you guys would stop after seeing the lines parked on the side of the road :P ... guessing you guys jumped on old pac at peats ridge to head back to Sydney??

Pretty much :P

I think I suggested we stop, but unfortunately the lead car didn't have a CB so we kept on going :P

I had a blast yesterday, as per usual! Thanks to all in my group (group 2), who I believe all behaved themselves behind me (according to Matt aka MBS206, there were no problems with silly behaviour).

To the dude that came and asked me for an SAU cap during lunch, I went looking for you after I'd had my feed but couldn't find you. Could you please send me a PM and I will arrange to get one to you somehow.

at the risk of sounding like an old fart, i'm incredibly impressed with how everyone drove the cruise.

putty road was made for skylines and super turbos (ok maybe the twisty bits not so much made for teh poor old neesan marches :( ) but I think everyone managed to have a spirited but safe drive up to lunch.

so big thanks to all who participated for setting another good example of how SAU NSW encourages responsible but fun driving.

and a VERY big thanks to Sam for making Putty happen once again.

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
    • That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
    • Bringing an old thread back to life Looking to put some new front shocks in the r33Gtst and the KYB still look ok for a road car. Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no. For the strut top, KSM7124?  https://www.sparesbox.com.au/products/kyb-strut-top-mount-ksm7124?srsltid=AfmBOoq-HDru8wSlLnQrhU9gCw_uYdKg8gUQzONY-EQOdnI5iXOWEUjY 341287 appears to be the front KYB shocks part no.  thanks all
    • LandCruiser used to get a fluid flush every 12 to 18 months.   Only because it was about that often the electric motor on the master for brake assist kept dieing and needing to come off.
