R34 Factory Turbo Life

just wondering what the lifeline is for the factory turbo if anyone knows

generally speaking keeping it stock boost ?

Up the boost, anyone's guess.

Factory turbos are fine in factory settings.

mines on its way out at 104000kms but i have a cooler and full exhaust which would put the boost up a bit.

and i thrash my car a fair bit too

I think Nissan has always specified ceramic turbos are meant to be replaced every 100,000km

find that hard to believe - that would mean nissan has a massive stock of R32-34 turbos in their parts warehouse somewhere then, wouldn't it?

actually last time i read up the R33 manual, I vaguely remember reading something like that. Cant confirm at the mo tho!

IMHO - it really depends how the turbo is treated. even if its kept stock, thrashing it wont see such a long life as compared to a boosted turbo but kept in good condition and looked after.

Took my R34 in for 100,000km service and mechanic blew one of the turbos so I'd say 100,000km is about right...
