i hosed my engine bay out last weekend like a dickhead and ever since my r33 hasn't been the same. it idles rough and misses like a bitch upto and over 4500rpm. i've driven it a bit without the coil pack covers hoping to dry it out but still no change and i noticed it seems like it gets worse as the car gets hotter. any advice on this matter would be appreciated thanks

yep water around coils and sparkies.....could have failed coils if old and cracked....mine did the same thing after a coilpack failed....change sparkies, leave them out and leave bonnet open to dry everything out....maybe even leave coils out in the sun.....

might try that. i've read in a topic to regap the plugs to 0.8 and silicone up the coil packs

yep it works... if your coils have the usual "heat crack on the side" problem that most old coils get.

Silicone or (in my case) high-temp gasket maker will fix the problem for a while... obviously if the coil is completely gone you need new one(s)...

Quick test by just taping them up if that fixes it you can move on to silicone or epoxy etc...

note that the cracks are so small they can be hard to see...
