and they told me i had to replace the front dump pipes not sure what the are

but will have to change them when i do the other upgrades

hi welcome, I'm not familiar with phantom with me being in NSW...

but I've found many bargains in the for sale section right here on sau from both private sellers & business vendors so be sure to do some reading and check them out :)

fyi the dump pipe is a small pipe on the exhaust system that connects from the turbo to the rest of the exhaust system, there is a lot of restriction placed on exhaust flow with the factory item so lots of aftermarket dump pipes have been developed with better flowing designs = more power

there are plenty of threads on the subject so just a case of researching the info on here

Front pipe is an easy job maybe 1hr labour but dumps on the other hand are a pain in the ass. Dont know if its the same for gtst (you do have a gtst yah?). Rule of thumb for doing dumps is always do it when you're doing the turbos. That'll save you the labour. While you're at it, make sure the wastegate is good too.

    • There’s a possibility that Infinity G35x front hubs may be compatible, but it depends on the exact fitment. Sometimes, parts like hub and bearing assemblies from different models can work if the bolt patterns, bearing sizes, and axle specifications match, but the G35x hubs typically have a different design. It's worth checking detailed specs (like the number of bolt holes, size of the axle shaft, and bearing diameter) to compare, as Rock Auto does list some parts that cross over across different models. If you're going for a pre-pressed hub and bearing unit, that could be a good option. These units are usually easier to install, as the bearing and hub come pre-assembled, but you’ll still need to verify fitment, especially the outer diameter of the hub and bearing dimensions.
