totally agree with RedLineGTR. I have done this with my pod without any partition and you notice lag when taking off. especially if you leave your car idling eg: traffic light. Make a partition with some aluminum plates and you will definitely notice some difference.

I agree with RedLineGTR. That’s why I originally bought the panel filter. I hear al the other skylines running pods, and damn it I want one too!!

Your right pushead, I should get a partition if I run a pod, as is I’m getting enough lag, I certainly don't want any more. The only dilemma I have is that I don't want to spend heaps of cash on the Blitz Sus power LM. However I can get the Bliz Sus core LM for half the price but it does not have the opening at the top as it's not a stainless steel model.

Decisions, decisions

shuto is right, those blitz metal sus ones are stoooopidly loud. my mate had one on his r33, and it was so loud, you could hear it sucking hard even just cruising without any load at 100km/h in 5th on the freeway.

Lol, We love the noises our turbo cars make dont we... hahah I have a K&N Pod... I wouldn’t say it's extremely loud *i havent heard anything else, so cant compare* but would say it sounds very nice on an open throttle, in the cold it is VERY loud for sure. I have a Blitz BOV & i would say it's loud... .It seems BLitz are making the loudest BOVs & PODs. At low Psi mine flutters the Psshhhh coming back out through the Pod too... Now that sounds kool.

Hey guys, in my experience and opinion, i'd have to say i would choose to use Apexi Power filters and a heat sheild/partition. Remember guys the more noise its making doesnt necessarily mean its better, it most likely means more resistance/harder for your engine to breathe. Things such as what turbo your car has obviously play a big role as to how much noise will be heard from the filter. A plain bearing (bush type) turbo will spool up slightly slower therefore making a more laboured induction noise. Apexi make aluminium and also carbon fibre induction boxes that look pretty kool but are hell expensive too. There are templates available online where you can cut out aluminium and make your own custom induction box. I guess the advantage of having it fully enclosed would be that the cops can't do you for it. Im sure i heard that if its enclosed its ok to have...

Anyways this is just my opinion :-)

Blitz all the way :P

Blitz Stainless Steel Pod on my car and the sound is beautiful. I cant really say whether its the loudest or not but i can help but smile everytime i hear the wooshing of air everytime i put my foot down... or off :P

Sometimes, i can get the throttle to a certain point where the pod whistles a continuous tone... i love it!

Only problem is with the Blitz SUS they hardly filter any better than chicken wire. Dirt ingestion has a major effect on engine life, so its worth getting something half decent.

My Unifilter pod is pretty damn loud, probably due to the metallic funnel. Have to cover my ears on the dyno compared to some other setups Ive seen.
