dan_the_man
Saving will be from not hiring the track from MSW That may be the case. However, it was not what I was quoting and referring to. The spokesperson said savings would be made because they did not have to travel to and from collie. Nothing mentioned about the costs in hiring the track. And
Why are you referring to them as cadets? Because they've been called "Recruits". I am not very familiar with their hierarchy, sorry Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/293798-im-not-sure-if-people-read-it/page/2/#findComment-4906009 Share on other sites
And
Guess it depends on the finer details.Cant see them doing this on the freeway etc....it will be closed off roads somewhere away from the public etc. Hope so. However original article was published some time ago, no more details so far. I recall few years ago guy in Excel managed to get away from at least two police cars. However original article was published some time ago, no more details so far.I recall few years ago guy in Excel managed to get away from at least two police cars. Maybe its been decided to not go any further? Police will abort a pursuit the moment it gets too dangerous/deadly to anyone (themself, public or suspected criminal) and this can be deemed several ways....so again, with out knowing the complete story of that certain pursuit, it would be hard to comment much further on why or how the Excel driver got away from 2 police vehicles. My guess is it was not due to the driving skill of the police involved IF that is what you were implying. And, have you spoken to anyone about your concerns on this matter? Be it politians at any levels or the Police dept/commisioners office etc?? And
Maybe its been decided to not go any further? Maybe. Don't know. I don't work for the police or for the media. My guess is it was not due to the driving skill of the police involved IF that is what you were implying. I don't have enough information, only what media has provided at that point of time. If my memory serves me correctly, I also recall that at least one police vehicle was crashed during that pursuit and a dog (?) was injured and taken to the vet. I would like to think that if someone wants to know more and he or she approaches Department of Police, they would gladly provide all the details to that individual. And no, I wasn't talking about driving skills of the police officers involved in that particular chasing. However, better training would not hurt any of us. And, have you spoken to anyone about your concerns on this matter? Be it politians at any levels or the Police dept/commisioners office etc?? No, I have not. Current version of so called "Anti hoon law" is more important for me at this stage. But thank you for the idea, I might approach them in the near future. bubba
No the hoon laws aren't fine the way they are. The fact that they can be arbitrarily applied without evidence (guilty until you prove you're innocent) is a fkn sham. captinsane
now they can save on blue test dumiies as obstacles and use elderly ladies carrying their shopping home in walking frames as high speed chicanes. woot... And
woot... I want to join the police force Be careful - you wishes may come true. I read in the magazine that some bikie clubs aren't accepting the applications from pedophiles and people who were in police force (interesting point of view at least), so you may close that opportunity for yourself forever :-P Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/293798-im-not-sure-if-people-read-it/page/2/#findComment-4908260 Share on other sites

Ehgriez
Why do certain people on this forum have such an anti-cop attitude, they serve a job, some are dicks, some arent we don't need to bitch about it all day every day. At least dan is keeping a somewhat unbiased mind to this conversation. Oh and Bard. Seriously.
