Hey, welcome to SAU. Its good to see a fellow X***Xer here. But im not really straight edge. :)

Good choice on a skyline, but good luck getting one in America, apparently there is only 1 place that is allowed to import them called Motorex.

Welcome Mist...

I hope you can get that Skyline! I hear they're not so easy to get. Good luck.

Btw, is it possible in the US to drive "imported" cars around (right-hand drive versions from Japan, UK, Australia etc) without changing the steering wheel over to the left? Is there some kind of permit you can get for it? Reason I ask, is because I couldn't stand the thought of a GT-R getting abused;) like that...

THanks For the Warm welcome ,I `ve been looking into all of it and ,I am gonna leave it left hand drive,I wanna be diffrent from everyone here but hopefully buy next september ,I will be living in Sydney or New South Wales Witch is preety phat Thanks for the tip of motorex,I will have to look into that as well hopefully ,I will learn alot from all you latter :headspin:

I did some very cursory research on it a while back and it seems like you can't due to new(er) regulations prohibiting it. I think the new law was that if there is a remotely comparable model in the States (for instance like old model WRX Sti and the U.S. Impreza 2.5RS) you can't import it. However, if it is a totally different car, then with the proper crash testing, compliancing, etc, then you can drive it without a change of the steering wheel (i.e. I don't think Motorex Skylines change the steering wheel over?).

However, I've seen pictures of street driven Evo's in the states. Some people just import it as a race or show car and then change the Vin badge on it (illegally of course) to one of a U.S. Mirage or Lancer.
