Cant Find My Consult Cable

I was about to put my car into diagnostics via the consult cable that is apparently suppose to be near the fuse pack, now there is definitely no cable there Is it any other place it can be?

Also I have an APEXI AVCR (Came with the car) this outputs a bunch of car info so is it possible they rerouted the consult cable to the APEXI?

I don't know much about the wiring that's needed for the avcr, but I also couldn't find my consult. I'm pretty sure my car used to run a power FC before I bought it, so I was freaking out that it had been cut/discarded/whatever... took it to my mechanic after an hour of searching for it and he took about 5 minutes of fiddling around up in the dash, but managed to pull it out.

Previous owner had put it right up inside the dash, I think tied it there with something. I can't think of ANY reason to do this.... but anyway yeah, don't be scared of all the crap in there, fight through everything and it might just be in there somewhere!

The consult plug is grey about 10mm x 40mm. There's no cable - you have to buy one.

I know its a plug, but behind the plug is obviously wires that run to the ecu. This is what I meant buy the cable.

Anyways how does the AVCR get the RPM, injector pulsewidth, TPS signal etc... it would have to be wired to the ecu some how wouldnt it? Does anyone know if the APEXI AVCR wires into the consult plug?

the avcr needs to be spliced into the ecu harness. you can't hook it into the consult plug. the consult plug only has 3 wires.

just search on here for an ecu pinout and that will tell you the wires you need to splice into

yeah if you're hooking up to the ecu you only need tx/rx/clk + ign(12v) and ground. the consult plug itself has like 6-10 wires in it (out of posible 14 pins)
