Adjustable BOVs what is ideal setting?

Ive got a SARD bov on my car and it sounds awesome, has several different noises depending on how much you are boosting it.

What i want to know is its adjustable between Hard and Soft, meaning you twist it either direction for desired result.

i had my car at a display night for Speedy Tyres and the bonnet was popped, i am pretty sure someone was friggin with me BOV, so as a safety measure i wound it to hard.

i haven't really played with it other than that but what is it gonna do when its soft?

also i have 2 mates 1 with a R31 GTSx RB20 stock + FMIC, and one with a S13 CA18 also stock + Apexi BOV

under accelleration both their cars make a really cool screaming sound? why is that?

When its soft it releases earlier, so it makes the rice noise at lower rpm, when harder it just means you need more revs. Its not really too important, just loosen it up 2 or 4 turns

Perhaps they have pod filters? my car sounds like a jet engine when running 13psi with a pod..
