Hi All,

With a mate the other day, who's everyday car is a 10'sec street car. Took him for a drive in the GTR (which is pretty stock bar exhaust, pods, a bleed valve) & in his words, everything feels slow after having a car like his... :)

He said that most people don't really understand the benefits of Water Injection to Manifold, & recommended if I am to upgrade the turbos firstly make sure the Turbos are Rollers & then a must is get Water injection.

As I understand it, Water Injection sprays a mist into the manifold, preventing detonation, enhances cooling/engine life & means I can run higher than normal boost. All this for about $400???

Any ideas about Water Injection??

In simple terms water injection is another way to prevent detonation, as the water is injected into the manifold, it evaporates reducing the temperature of the air entering the engine.

Be careful about the amount of water you pump into the motor, too much can lead to severe problems.

But it is a cheap and effective solution, but it does mean you need to continually fill the water.
